A: We generally recommend 8-to-10-inch mattress heights. However, this bed does not have guardrails or a bed above it so there are no restrictions to mattresses above 10 inches.

Q: Does it have a chemical smell? Saw an online blog that stated it did. Just wondering if any shoppers here that bought the bed thought the same?

A: Hello there,
Our products do not have any finishes that contain hazardous materials. On occasion there may still be a smell from the finishing process at our factory, this is normal and will dissipate with time.
If you would like to has the smell dissipate more quickly you can wipe down the wood with an ammonia-free cleaner.

A: Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out! Our beds can fit a standard sized mattresses, in this case it will accommodate a full sized mattress for the main bed (54" x 75").
The trundle bed can accommodate a standard sized twin mattress (38" x 75"). This mattress need to be 6 inches or less in height in order to fit under the main bed. I hope this helps!

Very disappointed
This bed is super low. Not what I expected only after 1 day it’s not meeting my expectations. I wish I could return it. The worst 550,00 I’ve ever spent. I’d rather had kept my full size bed I had already. I only purchased this for the underneath trundle but I’m so disappointed.

Simple piece of wood shouldn't run for another +$100 dlls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this was a very poor experience. The bed’s quality is acceptable for the price, but the paint chips very easily, even with minor bumps. Assembly was a nightmare. My husband and I are both experienced at assembling furniture, but this was one of the most difficult pieces we have ever put together. Several steps require drilling screws directly into the frame where there are no predrilled holes. This will likely cause problems if the bed ever needs to be disassembled and reassembled during a move. We also purchased the matching nightstand, but it arrived with an incorrect or missing piece, so we could not finish assembling it. Customer service took several days to respond and eventually offered to send an entirely new nightstand while asking us to keep the unusable one. This was not a reasonable solution, as it would leave us responsible for disassembling and disposing of the defective item. When I requested either the correct replacement part or a refund, customer service stopped responding altogether. We are now left with a bed that chips easily and a half-assembled matching nightstand. Based on the product quality, difficult assembly, and lack of customer support, I would not recommend this purchase.

The slats are far apart. So if you have a thin and soft mattress it seems it could be dangerous if you stand on the bed and your foot falls between the slats. I'm ordering different mattresses. Other than that, you can see it looks great. The trundle moves smoothly and pretty easily. It very was pretty easy to put together.

Great bed quality, but i was shocked how wide each slats were apart. The trundle bed was about 9 inches apart. If you use memory foam, this will be an issue and will need to get plywood or some sort of more backing.

We're glad to hear you're happy with the quality of the bed! The slats that come with it are designed to work with our mattresses and most others. If you prefer slats that are closer together, we do offer a premium slat roll with 3-inch spacing for added support.
