My son just turned 7 months, he was playing with this in his car seat and usually I love this toy but today it was not good. I noticed when I parked the car and checked my mirror that something was in his mouth. Out of nowhere one of that ribbons from the book came off and was in his mouth. I do not recommend this book as the ribbons were not as secure as I thought. He is fine and thank goodness I check my mirror every 2 mins to see what he's doing. I also purchased because of the great reviews but maybe my item was defective.

My 4 month old loves this cloth book! The book has crinkly pages and some well placed ribbons and pull features that my son likes to touch, tug at, and chew on. Love Melissa and Doug and everything else about this book but the ribbons on the page representing rain very quickly frayed and I found a thread wrapped around my daughters finger. We just got it for Christmas and I let her turn the pages and squish them and that caused the fraying. Be careful!!
