Problems with the zippers

We have a problem! The boots fit fine, BUT using the zipper is very difficult. It appears the zipper is picking up some of the material on the inside, making it very difficult to raise or lower the zipper. If I don't use a pair of pliers I cannot pull the zipper up or down. Before long the piece the pliers hold will break off, then how will I use the zipper? It appears there is a need for an additional sewed seam along both sides of the zipper on the inside. This appears to be a quality control problem.

The boot is not what it used to be. I've been buying these for years, and now, might go to a Danner snake boot.

Finally found something that fits me and they’re comfortable with easy on, easy off. I’ve walked through some stuff and they’ve been great. It’s been a rough time for me finding something that works for me. I did pretreat with that water proofing spray just because these aren’t rubber

I have a very serious foot injury where my foot is now over pronated and my heel is swollen permanently; these boots are the only ones I could find that don’t hurt my foot after standing in them for over an hour; these are accurate on the size; I just wish they came in regular brown leather color, but it doesn’t really matter because I’m wearing them in a swampy environment so I can work my property safely.
Zipper broke into two pieces

The fabric on the inside of the zipper gets caught in the zipper making it very difficult, sometimes possible, to move the zipper up or down without tearing the fabric that’s caught in the zipper or the fabric along the stitching for the zipper. These were a year old but only worn during the winter last season on the weekends. Last night the metal zipper on one of the boots broke into two separate halves. The material around the heels is cracking and the fabric on 1 got torn by some brush near the cuff and frayed. Seems like they’d hold up longer than 1 season of weekend wear for the price.

1year old boots and the zippers are coming loose from the material. I like the weight and wear them about everyday but I bought another pair that are lace up because I was afraid of the zipper failure.

I got these a week ago and went out in a canoe today. When I got back my feet were soaked. Glad I was not on a long Turkey hunt. My last pair of Rocky were Gortex and they also leaked. Rocky makes you send them back prior to refund or credit where I bought. So I am totally done with Rocky.

I had some Athletic type of Rocky boots and they leaked, in fact they got sent to Gortex and I'm waiting to hear what they are going to do about it. Meanwhile I got brave and got another pair of these boots and I'm just back from a 5 mile hike with a tree stand 2.5 miles. My feet are dry and don't hurt. I was told they would stretch a half size and they were right. A bit taller than I would like but for deep water it's better. The zipper protectors are always coming loose. I see they only have a 6 month waterproof guarantee so see how it holds up. From what I can see you do not want to get bitten by a venomous snake so I hope these work. I like them but will love them if they hold up for a few years. PS watch where you sit down in the Florida woods. Like Tonto said to the Lone Ranger, Kemosabe, your gonna die!

I received this pair of boots as a prize several years ago. Sportsman banquet. Second time wearing the left boot would not unzip. The inner material was in the zipper. I manage to get them down about halfway and the zipper grasp broke. No returns or warranty without a receipt. I still wear them but was surprized at the way Rocky reacted. I told them right up front where I got them. Oh well. I have several pair of their boots and have had no ither problems. This may be a problem with zip up boots.

I bought a pair end of hunting season year before last used them last year no problem, this year they are leaking water at heel and front knuckle, boots still look great with no wear on them, no apparent holes either. I'm just crossing minor creeks in them not standing in them...like them, just darn, if I could just get a pair that last 3 or 4 seasons...

I bought this boot because it was the most comfortable boot by far. I wore it one season and the sole is separating from the boot. I am a disabled vet and have to save for this kind of purchase.

Not Even Remotely Waterproof

These boots are really comfortable to wear in dry conditions. The insoles are comfortable and the outer soles have good traction in a variety of terrain. They are also easy to put on with the side zipper. However, if you're wearing these boots in wet conditions, your feet will get soaked. The first couple times I went through big puddles with these boots, I could feel my feet getting wet. I just got back from 2 days of turkey hunting walking through very wet tall grass. Less than a few minutes into my hunt, I could feel the moisture seeping in. After 3 hours of hunting, the inside of the boots were dripping wet. Not sure how Rocky can make the claim that these are waterproof.
