Summary of reviews
The trimmer has received mixed feedback from guests, with many appreciating its ease of use and design, particularly the light feature and color options. However, concerns about its performance, such as not providing a close shave and issues with durability, have been frequently mentioned. Guests have noted that while it can be gentle on the skin, it may not meet expectations for a close trim, leading to disappointment for some. Overall, it offers a decent grooming experience but may not be the best choice for those seeking a close shave.

Does not charge from an Apple C to C unlike the trimmer premium. Not truly universal charging just a heads up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like so many other reviewers here, I’ve again and again had the problem where the trimmer stops working—this is THE THIRD TIME!!! It’s like clockwork: it holds a charge for a nice long while—many months, which is great. And eventually I have to charge it, I wait until I’m sure it’s dry (per the customer service advice), plug it in, and then it’ll work once or twice more before going completely and forever dead. This is a design flaw of the highest order. I’ve bought a whole bunch of replacement blades too that I don’t know what to do with. It’s just so disappointing because otherwise I love this trimmer—it works just as advertised, except that it just doesn’t last. I’m finally going to be looking elsewhere.

No longer charges after a year with only moderate use. It never sat properly on the charging dock. Always had to move it around to a position where it would hold and charge.
DO NOT BUY, terrible company customer service!

After 4 uses, this trimmer stopped working entirely. I was outside of my Target return window, but still within the 1 year warranty period. I was told by a Meridian customer service rep that THEY DO NOT PROCESS warranty claims for items purchased at Target and that Target will process it. Which proved untrue as a Target rep told me to contact the manufacturer. Classic passing-the-buck behavior, with me left holding a hunk of non-working junk that i spent $90 on, and apparently has an outright lie where it claims to have a warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer honestly changed my life, but it didn't last, which is quite disappointing. I only used it about once a week during the summer, and maybe once every 2 weeks in the winter. After about 9 months, the light on it stopped working. After about a year, it stopped charging if I plugged it in directly to the cord. And now after about 15 months of having it, it no longer charges at all (either by the cord directly, or with the stand). I did use it in the shower, but followed all the guidelines for using it in water. Needless to say, if I decide to get another one (since I still have blades), I will not be using it in water at all.
Maybe should’ve shopped around more

My partner and I each own one of these. We loved them at first, especially him because of the various length attachments, but over time I’ve found that it doesn’t live up to the hype because I get so many nicks from these! I change the blades regularly. Annoying because we’ve dumped like $160 into this brand and maybe should’ve gotten 2 different brands to compare :/ the on off button is also in a not very favorable spot as it’s easy to press while you’re using the device unintentionally if you’re gripping it a certain way, causing it to turn off when you don’t expect it to and snag hairs which hurts. Just wanted to leave my honest review as we’ve been using these consistently for years. But it does get the hair off so we do put up with it.
Still figuring it out

I wanted to love this thing, I really, really did, especially for all the ads I saw, for how long I waited before I bought it, for how expensive it is, for the nice charging base I bought, for the cute color I picked, but honestly? It was meh. Not that impressive for essentially an overpriced trimmer. It doesn't trim especially close, so although I bought it as a replacement for shaving, it's absolutely terrible for that. It's the equivalent to having like 2-day post-shave stubble, which if that's your thing, cool. I still used it though, but not very much (maybe 10 times over the course of a year?) and it was fine each time I used it. Then, it just randomly quit working. I didn't drop it, I didn't do anything to it, and then one day, roughly 13 months after I bought it (conveniently JUST after the 1yr warranty expired) it won't charge, it won't turn on, it's just a useless paperweight. So I will NOT be buying this piece of garbage ever again. Save yourself the time, hassle, and stubble. Buy a nicer trimmer from a reputable brand if you want, but this ain't it. It's just cute, that's all. They have fun ads, I appreciate their message about "do whatever you want with hair wherever", but this trimmer made me angry and I regret buying it so much.
Not getting the trim I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm wondering what the appeal is for personal groomers...Is the point to have shorter hair but not as close a shave? So it's not the sensation of smooth skin, but purely the aesthetics of other people not seeing hair from far away? It's so confusing. I do not regularly shave but have weddings and stuff coming up and was interested in what kind of hair management I could do to be more in alignment with conventional feminine hair standards. Big shrug from me. I used this on my leg hair and it basically just took it to stubble, like comparable to 3-5 day growth from shaving. I used it on my bikini line -- same. Left a centimeter or so of growth. So sure, people won't be able to tell? But is that really worth the money? What even are these beauty standards? I wish I'd followed my mom's advice and never shaved. Respect to all the people who feel empowered and gender affirmed with their hair care, it does the opposite for me.
It's okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Trimmer Premium from a few years back and the battery died so I opted to try the Trimmer Plus. The overall design and function is mostly the same but I do prefer the older style of separate snap on guides for trimming. The new design with the adjustable guide feels very cheap and the plastic scratches my skin when body trimming, leaves red marks and doesn't feel good on my skin.
Great purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this trimmer was in my favorite color, the light really helps to see where I’m shaving in there’s a dark spot in another light. This was a new trimmer and I’m glad I got this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My friend recommended this after I complained about nicks and burns from hair removal cream. I was skeptical, especially because Manscaped claims to have great nut shavers, but they ALWAYS nick. THIS IS AMAZING. I was going ham and came out perfectly smooth and intact. SUCH A RELIEF—THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS

Do not buy if you like close trimmer! It pulls so bad! Every pass it pulled ! I have used my husband’s man scape and it works WAY better! I would not use this again! I would return but I threw away the box ! I bought it for the cute color and thought since it was so expensive it would be good . NOPE!
Liked the original better

I got an original trimmer a few years ago and decided to get the plus because it was on sale. The ends of the guard are SHARP and very uncomfortable, as is the metal beneath the ceramic blade. I don’t know if I just received a faulty product or if they’re all built this way but the guard gave me quite a few scrapes even with me trying to be extremely careful. Also, I did not get as close a shave with the plus and had to go over it again with my old original trimmer to fix it. Pretty disappointing overall considering the price and how much “better” this one is supposed to be.

Haven't had any issues with my Trimmer Plus and I love how easy it is to use. Lasts a long time with just one charge too. Glad it provides a close enough trim the way I prefer. Highly recommend!

This product worked for the first few weeks we owned it, but now it no longer charges or holds a charge. I think our product had some defect unfortunately, and it stopped working past the return window. The other, cheaper Meridian trimmer hasn’t had this same problem, so I guess I’d recommend that one over this one.
