The back section is pretty tall, so the pens and pencils are completely covered by mesh which makes it a little more difficult to grab smaller pencils or pens. My son loves it. Very sturdy and well made.

Poorly made, ordered online or I never would have purchased in condition. One of the sides wasn’t welded together correctly, became separated and there was hole where it should have connected. The divider at the bottom tray was crooked. Maybe mine was just a defective one.

Actual size - the item is 6 inches WIDE and 7 inches deep - the 6.5-inch wide envelopes I bought this to contain do not fit in the back slot. Be aware of this if the sizing is important to you.
