Metabo HPT CN18DSLQ4M 18 V Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) Cordless Powered Hand Shear

I purchased the nibbler to cut out circles and other hard to cut jobs. The tool is a must for these difficult cuts and makes the job get finished with cleaner cuts.

I bought this to cut the metal sheets that went onto the roof of the addition I did this summer. It works great and leaves a very nice edge

I picked the nibblers up to save my ears and eyes from cutting barn steel with a circular saw. These things are amazing. So easy to maneuver around the ribs in the steel . One of my favorite purchases. Wish I bought it years ago.

My wife got this for me as I would not spend that much money on something that I would seldom use. I am now surprised how much I have used it, and it works really well, no more blisters on the hands from using hand tools to cut the metal. I am also very pleased with how long the smallest sized battery lasts in the tool. I have larger ones but have not had an issue with the “lightweight” one. My wife knows best and I am glad.

I do volunteer HVAC work. E eryone on my crew has been using double cuts and I kept wondering why Metabo didn't make double cuts. I watched a video of a nibler and thought to give it a try. Let me just say that now everyone has gotten a nibler and laid down their double cuts. This is a great tool for HVAC. Cuts right thru the seam on spiral duct. You can cut a dust from inside when there is not room to run a tool around the outside. You gotta get one.

This is the best tool I've used to cut roof metal. Especially when you have to cut the metal for valleys or hips.

We use this tool on our installations of metal roofing and soffit. Excellent to handle on the roof or ladders. Handles ribbed roofing like a champ. We'll be purchasing another so we don't have to share.

I bought this before siding our barndominium in central Texas. I'd watched it in action on the RR Buildings YouTube Channel and knew I'd need a nibbler for the amount of PBR panel I needed cut. As it turns out, the nibbler is very hefty and controlling the cuts is quite easy. The hardest part about cutting building tin is keeping your lines straight from ribs to valleys while marking the cut. You can easily adjust the direction of cut with the included Allen wrench. I get exceptional run time on the smaller batteries which is a benefit considering the aforementioned heft of the tool. The only thing I would change would be to put a hideaway holder for the directional Allen wrench. As always, wear eye and ear protection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This resembles and operates very much like the Makita 18v nibbler however it is only half the cost! Still seems well built and quality design. Simple tool but essential for heavier steel stud framing or corrugated metal roofing and siding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I really like what metabo hpt has done with this tool. It's cordless and cuts fast. Easy to change the cutter. It can eat through a battery depending on the size of the battery and what size and style of metal you are cutting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to get one of these half price at a big box store (Metabo HPT is great for keeping prices low and doing promotions), which makes a great tool purchase even better. If you’re still cutting steel roof/siding panels with shears or (especially) snips, do yourself a favour and pick up a nibbler. It eats through any product up to 1/16” with ease, conforming to curves and contours just as well as it rips through straight cuts. It has the added benefit of leaving a perfectly clean cut, without the prising bends left by shears and snips. This Metabo HPT nibbler feels really solid, with a nice magnesium(?) nose housing, solid ABS(?) body and soft touch handle, fantastic balance with a compact 3.0aH. All of that to say it’s a very practical tool which looks and feels great too. Five stars.
