I have used Miracle grow for 3 decades. Started using it because my parents used it in their gardens when we were kids. It just works. Used as directed, my plants are more healthy, full, and I never worry about my fruit contaminated with poisons.

I’ve been using this for a few years. And the last couple years my plants have gotten 6 feet plus tall. And loaded with tomato’s. But I have moved my garden around this year and I hope I get the same turn out. I e been told to rotate your plants. So we will see.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but I spend a few hours trying to get the dry food to totally dissolve in my tap water. Every 5-10 minutes, I shake the gallon jugs of water I've poured 1 TBSP of food into... and after s few hours I give up and water with what I have. Every time I shake the jugs I see bits of undissolved food in the bottom. But, despite less than desirable planting conditions, my balcony tomato plants are covered in healthy green tomatoes! I honestly think the food is getting a lot!

I have used used Scotts Company Miracle-GRO Tomatoes for a wide variety of plants for many years and I have been totally satisfied. This past month I went to buy another box and found it is now in a plastic box instead of cardboard box. When I compared the contents the new formula only contains NPK and no micronutrients. What's up? For proper plant feed we need those micronutrients. I won't use or recommend this product anymore.

Needs Calcium

Was disappointed to learn this formula does not contain calcium - essential to prevent blossom root. All calcium and you'd have a great product. Will have to look elsewhere. And yeah - I know about all those other tips about preventing blossom rot. That's done. And my plants still need calcium.

I've been using this with shake and feed with my tomatoes and other vegetables (all in containers) for a few years now. I get outstanding growth with plenty of blooms and fruits. Vast improvement over my father in laws unfed vegetables. This combo never has burned my plants when used as directed. Also, all are planted in miracle grow potting soil. OUTSTANDING RESULTS! GROWING TOMATO'S IN THE HEAT AND INTENSE SUN IN THE SUMMER, IN FLORIDA, IS VERY DIFFICULT. THE LEAVES TURN YELLOW FROM WATERING HEAVY. WITH THE TOMATO PLANT FOOD THE PLANTS ARE SO ROBUST AND LUSH LOOKING. MY MECHANIC ASKED ME LAST WEEK ABOUT GROWING TOMATO'S AFTER HE SAW MY PLANTS. I PASSED ON MY RECOMMENDATION...TOMATO PLANT FOOD AND LOTS OF WATER AND SUN.

I started gardening in 2012 and used this product. I had great results with huge plants and an abundance of large healthy tomatoes and cucumbers. In 2013 I used it with the same results. Last year I didn't use it and was extremely low on funds due to my husband losing his job due to business closing. So I went cheaper (even though miracle gro isn't expensive) and tried a no name $2.00 stuff. BAD DECISION. What money I didn't spend on buying miracle gro I lost 10 fold on a flopped garden. Tomato plants, didn't grow much or fast like they had using miracle gro and I ended up with very little usable crop due to tomato plant disease. I will NEVER go without using miracle gro tomato plant food in my vegetable garden ever again. I recommend to everyone that gardens.
NO CALCIUM = Blossom End Rot

Miracle Grow is great in that reasonably priced and a great overall fertilizer and ease of use. On tomatoes, they are thirsty plants and use a LOT of everything. The problem with Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Tomato Plant Food is that is contains NO CALCIUM! Without calcium, the tomatoes plants develop Blossom End Rot (which every one of my plants did). In the end, I lost my entire garden of six huge tomato plants. It was a waste of time and effort and all because Miracle Grow promotes this specifically for tomato plants but failed to add everything the plants needs. VERY upset and will not use due to the above again and until they change the formulation and include calcium.

We are sorry to hear that you are dealing with Blossom End Rot on your tomatoes. While the absence of sufficient calcium available to the plant is a primary cause of this disease there are a number of environmental stresses that also increase the risk. To reduce the risk of Blossom End Rot affecting your plants, It is important that the soil where tomatoes are grown remain consistent in both temperature and soil moisture levels. Excessive fluctuations in the soil temperature and moisture levels are known to be contributing factors to this disease. Mulching the root zone of your tomato plants is recommended. If you believe additional calcium would be helpful to your plant we suggest using Miracle-Gro Shake N Feed for Tomatoes Fruit & Vegetables. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience please contact us to see what can be done. I have been using Miracle Grow for about 20 years and have been extremely satisfied with the results. I feed my vegetables every 10 days and find they thrive on this great product. I live in an area where the soil is mostly clay and the miracle grow is able to sustain the plant's growth throughout the dry summer.

I began using Miracle-Gro for my tomatoes and other vegetables several years ago and will never stop. I have noticed a definite difference in both the amount and the size of my vegetables. I usually use it every couple of weeks and it is well worth the investment if you want a true "bumper crop"! I swear by the results.
