A: Thank you for your interest in the Modern Heirloom Garden Toile quilt set. The quilt is reversible, the shams are not. I'm not sure what you mean by backing. This is a filled quilt, so there is a face fabric with the toile print, a reverse fabric with the stripe print and there is cotton filling between the face and reverse fabrics.
