Q: Does this work with the fire tv stick? Does it power it while using a mouse?

The Fire TV Stick requires continuous power via Micro USB.Without power passthrough, plugging in a mouse via OTG will disconnect power, causing the Fire TV Stick to shut off. The Monoprice Micro USB OTG Adapter allows a device with a Micro USB port to act as a USB host, enabling connection of peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, or flash drive. However, this specific adapter does not include power passthrough, which means it cannot power the Fire TV Stick while simultaneously using a USB device like a mouse.

This doesn't even work...
This device doesn't work at all. At first I was really hyped, because I wanted to use this to use my switch controller on my Tablet. That didn't work, so I instead tried to use it to at least connect 2 of my tablets together. That didn't work either... So I came to a conclusion: This adapter (or at least the one I got) was faulty. I don't know what to do with it now.

I tried it one time and it works. It looks like the right angle plug in will make it last longer than a straight plug in.

The Monoprice Micro USB OTG Adapter works well on an existing tablet with an installed OS. I was hoping to use it to complete an install of an OS on a tablet which lost it's touchscreen. Because the OS was in the midst of installing the OS, drivers for the OTG adapter couldn't be installed. Looks like I'll have to replace the tablets touchscreen.

Don't buy for Raspberry Pi Zero
The cable is fine, however if you want to use it for a Pi Zero look for another cable. The bend in the cable makes it hard or impossible to connect the power USB line.

Exactly what I was thinking and it worked!
I have a new LG phone but my biolite portable battery was unable to connect with new phone port. I did some research and found that monoprice micro otg adapter was yhe right price that i was looking for. Shipped quick and useing my adapter the first day out hiking! Thanks

Worked great and Great Price!
Worked great for my Raspberry Pi Zero, except that the right angle connector put the cable right in the way of the power USB cable. Not a deal breaker, but took a little bit of modification to make it fit.

Adapter works, but the right angle design is a poor choice, and Monoprice does not offer a straight adapter. Make sure you check if your device will work with a right angle connection and not cover or block ports next to it!
