Morningstar Farms Frozen Pepperoni Pizza Bites - 9.5oz

Before I get into my review, let me start off by saying I’m not vegan. I’m vegetarian with a preference towards plant based dairy products but wanted to give these a shot since this is a pretty unique product. I thought it was a strange choice to use real cheese for a brand like Morningstar Farms and after tasting them, I just wonder “what’s the point in using real cheese?” The real cheese is hardly noticeable and does not add anything to the flavor. Just seems like a misdirection to use real cheese and alienate the entire vegan audience that would eat these when the cheese doesn’t even add much. As a vegetarian, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to buy these again and I hope Morningstar Farms learns a big lesson from this. Crazy work to see so many plant based brands opting to use non plant based ingredients all of a sudden.. .

Tasted great! Very good vegetarian option for a quick snack or meal.

Why did you start making with Real Cheese? I was all excite that you brought it back, when my husband came home with several packages. Just to find out that now it has dairy. Ew!

I am disappointed these have real cheese in them. I need these with vegan cheese again.

When the recipe was updated to add animal secreations, the taste changed and its horrid - not only that, but updating a recipe to ADD cruelty is beyond vile and says a lot about the company's values. Gross product and shameful decision.

I'm so glad I caught the "real cheese" label before feeding these to my children. We were very disappointed. Instead of rechecking the ingredients for cruelty at every purchase from this company, I'll be avoiding anything that says "MorningStar Farms".

Sad that these are no longer a safe option for my son with a dairy allergy.

This once vegan product now has dairy in it.. vegetarians can already eat non dairy cheese as well so why add real cheese to an already great vegan product?? I will no longer be buying morningstar products. What happened to your pledge to go 10% vegan?

Why on earth switch to cruelty? I just don't understand the decision to go from vegan to "vegetarian"

Recipe change. This used to not hurt any animals, now the stupid marketing has decided to target vegetarians who don’t harm pigs but need to do whatever they can to harm cows.

People and planet, yea right this was a go to product for people who don’t eat animal products, and planet? Yea sure but adding dairy back which is one of the most environmentally damaging foods, Morningstar your betraying your own value, make this product vegan again

Why would you add cheese to this? Was the goal not to go fully vegan eventually? That way it is all inclusive. Everyone can eat vegan, half your target demographic doesn’t eat cheese.

Now with real cruelty. I dont know what compels a company to release a product that doesn’t remotely appeal to their existing customer base

These were great when they are vegan. Now they have animal cheese. Awful decision.
