This is probably the worst toy I have ever bought. I opened it and I could already tell it had terrible build quality. So after soaking the gellets in water I loaded them into my gun, only to find out that it does not shoot. If you load it the gellets simply fall out the other end. I tried again and the gun jammed. Terrible experience, DO NOT BUY!

About 1/3 of the gels fall out when fired. The rest get pretty fair distance but it’s frustrating when you get that “perfect shot” only to have the bread land a few feet away pathetically.

The idea of these provoked many hours of planning and collaborating attacks with their friends/siblings. We opened the boxes and immediately began soaking the beads. The anticipation was high! The beads were ready, guns were loaded, and bam! nothing! The beads wouldn't shoot. They would just fall out the back or jam. So now we have a delimna, a giant bowl of ammo and no gelfire to shoot it with. BUMMER. These were returned.

Those little gel balls go everywhere and bounce, I can’t imagine having them all over my house. My 14 yr old son squished one to see what comes out and it is indeed some type of gel stuff. My first thought is who wants to get shot at with this and get this gel stuff all over them. I sincerely hope they are non-toxic for kids and pets because they are so tiny they could go in a pets nose and I imagine to a little kid it would look like something to eat. The gun was also difficult to use and the balls fall out before you even fire the gun. You also have to soak the balls for a few hours before play, what kid wants to wait that long to play? None that I know of. In my opinion this is one of the worst Nerf designs ever.

The gel rounds sit in water to expand for a bit, then it’s ready to fire! This specific nerf guns is definitely not for younger kids. Only ages 14 and up due to the impact of gel fire rounds. They definitely sting on contact! But other then that, the nerf gun works great (besides getting jammed sometimes).

This comes with 5000 dehydrated gel balls that you need to put in water. It takes some time for them to soak in water but well worth it. We use this to shoot at targets. We all had a blast shooting around. I will definitely be buying more gel blasters to continue playing with this fun gel blaster gun.

I would still suggest supervision with children but it’s worth trying out. The gels take a little bit to prepare for use, but nonetheless they are quick and mess free without staining. My biggest con is that sometimes it gets stuck when shooting but a plus is that it does come with two modes which is always nice.

It’s a nice designe but when I pull back the trigger an orb falls out. Other then that it works pretty well. Also the pull back trigger sometimes gets stuck.

Had to return it the same day because it kept smashing the water beads instead of firing them. The little ammo holder is super small so you will be constantly reloading it if you can actually get it to shoot.

This Nerf Gelfire pistol is powerful, accurate and fun to use. it comes with enough ammo to last months of shooting, and the hopper holds over 100 rounds so you rarely have to reload. There is time involved in preparing the gel rounds for use, but virtually no effort. They explode on impact and biodegrade into an organic powder, so contamination and littering are not concerns. While I would avoid shooting bare skin with this pistol, it only stings slightly through clothing and does not appear to stain fabric. Parents should supervise younger users and insist on eye protection for anyone playing with these types of Nerf blasters.

The kids had so much fun with this. It's very easy to do as you just add water to hydrate the Gelfire Rounds, and they can load 130 at a time, so 5,000 was a ton! No batteries needed on this one - USE OUTDOORS!!!

Also has trigger lock so much fun for the kids. And the hopper holds a specific amount so you can easily divide the gel caps and the fun time.
