Solid performance at a reseasonable price
I recently replaced our old Netgear CM700 Docsis 3.0 cable modem with a modern Netgear CM1000 Docsis 3.1 model. There was nothing wrong with our old modem, it still worked perfectly, however since the data rate from our ISP has increased, we wanted to take advantage of the higher speeds and modernize at the same time. I've run multiple speed checks since installing the new modem, and it is consistantly 300 mb per second faster than the previous model. Just as with the previous Netgear modem, the new one delivers solid, consistent performance at a reasonable cost.

Solved hi res audio streaming issue
The Netgear CM3000 modem solved a problem I had streaming 24 bit / 96 kHz hi res audio files where music would stop after a track or two and not advance to the next track. This problem was with the Netgear CM1200 which I bought in 2024. Not a bad router, Internet speed was decent, ~950 mpbs on my Xfinity 1100 speed plan and I could stream video files fine. But high res audio is different b/c the files are not cached. I figured the CM1200 was contributing to a data latency issue and packets were getting jumbled. The CM3000 was Xfinity recommended (which means they’ll push firmware updates to it) so I bought it. It has a little smaller form factor than the CM1200 which is nice. Setup using the Xfinity phone app was a breeze. Solved my high res audio file latency issue immediately. I’m a happy camper.

Good Quality Modem
I purchased this modem to replace a previously owned Netgear Modem that had run flawlessly for over 6 years, it had outlived its service life. This modem is twice as fast as my previous modem, was very easy to install and the speed is great. I use the Internet through Cox daily and also stream video with amazing speed. This modem is a definite keeper!

works well, some difficulty with install
The modem works as claimed and meets all performance needs. I had a problem with it getting on line. I called the help line and determined that the problem was with the ISP. They had to do something on their end to get the ISP and the modem to communicate.

Great Product
The Nighthawk works just fine; however, you have to contact the phone manufacturer to ensure all the options for your phone are activated.

Good product. Easy to connect (even getting Spectrum to activate was easy!!). Good support and communication when NETGEAR support has ended.

Best Investment
After reviewing my internet bill, I took action to ensure reduce my bill by over $30 monthly by purchasing my own equipment. I've used other branded routers and modems, but NETGEAR is hands down the best.

Fast, Stable, and Truly Future-Proof
Upgraded to the Nighthawk CM3000 with Xfinity and the difference was immediate. Setup was quick, activation was easy, and I’m consistently seeing near-gigabit download speeds with noticeably improved upload performance. The connection has been rock solid and pairs perfectly with my mesh Wi-Fi system. Great performance and worth the upgrade.

Excellent speeds! Highly recommend
Extremely powerful. Easy to setup, except the additional task of calling Cox to allow it to be recognized, since their online verification of the modem didn’t work. But that’s not Netgear’s fault. Overall I’m getting impressive speeds over 2Gbps to my wired desktop, & over 1Gbps to my phones & iPads.

Seamless transition
Well, the old one was working just fine and now so is the new one. Being on a fixed income I'm not a fan of forced upgrades that aren't in my budget but that's not Netgear's fault. Just a sign of the times.

Great machine
Easy to set up, basically turn it on,let your provider know model and away you go. Pair with mesh system and it's a perfect setup.
