Never Touch a Monster - by Stuart Lynch (Board Book)

Loved that this book makes my child so engaged in story time! The textures are so fun for little ones. I did notice that the textures leave intentions on the pages that it closes into, but not terribly.

We have purchased this book twice for ourselves because our toddler has used it so much it is falling apart. We are about to buy our third copy. We buy them often for baby showers too.

We own so many of these books and this is one of my sons favorites.

This book is fun to touch. My 4 year olds like feeling the pages. I wish the words were written in print to help with reading. I think my 7 year old daughter with Autism who is learning to read would like this book but unfortunately she is only reading in print and needs reassurance before moving to cursive. The different fonts are cute on the page. Just for adults to read.

This book is a fun and easy read with bright colors. My 2 1/2 year old loves the bright colors and sensory touch elements. However, I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the first page came disconnected from the spine of the book the first day we had it. I feel like books made for toddlers should be more sturdy.

My 5 month old loves touching and “reading” this book. He particularly loves the front cover, but he likes to feel the tummies of all the monsters. It’s great for touch and feel exploration. The textures, however, are the same material but in different forms and shapes. I wish it had more diversity in the material of the textures. Awesome book for my 9 month old. This is one is part of a series. The porcupine is her favorite one.

I bought this book for my nephew and he loves it. It’s full of colorful, sensory pages that peak his interest.
