Q: How do you get the plastic “screws” off the packaging without damaging the wood?

A: Hi Guest - Thank yo for reaching out. You can use pliers to break off the front tab of the plastic screws securing the rail to the packaging. You can then use a flathead screwdriver on the back of the hook rack to twist the remaining pieces and detach the rail. Hope this helps! - Kris

Q: Are the provided drywall anchors acceptable to use in a wood stud? Or should you omit the drywall anchors and only use the provided mounting screws if you are installing into a wood stud?

As others have stated getting the packaging off is a joke-Also would be nice to have a drill bit size for using the anchors. Id look elsewhere for a decorative rack-

Pretty nice little hooks set.
We ordered this for our 3 and 5 year old to have a place they can hang their backpacks after school. To be honest, we were hoping to have them hang their little violins from their violin lessons there too, but the violins are heavy enough in their cases that I don't feel comfortable hanging even one violin on this, even though it says it can hold the weight. That being said, this thing can easily hold plenty of jackets, hats, sunglasses, water bottls, and even backpacks, and we love having the double hook option for our kids to use on this! Installation was super easy, I did need a drill to put the intial hole in the drywall, but the wood rack of this seems pretty sturdy and only has a very slight wiggle on the right side of it. I was trying not to tighten the screws that go into the drywall anchors too tight and it's possible that I left that one too loose, but I already put in the little plastic piece that covers the screw holes in the wood so it's too late now. Just make sure you're happy with it after installing it before you put the little screw-hole plugs in!

Echoing everyone else: the packaging is much more difficult than it should be. It’s really silly. The instructions don’t say but the 1/4” drill bit worked for us. Hopefully saving everyone a few tries.

I desperately needed a place to hang my purse and coat as I entered my house. I had been putting it on the kitchen island. Not only did it take up food prep space, it looked tacky. Packaging so hard to remove
How to remove packaging… use a claw tooth hammer to pry off the back of the plastic screw. It took about 20 minutes to figure this out. Besides that the racks work as expected.

Cheap cheap cheap piece of pine
Terrible quality wood. Its like a 1 x 3 piece of cheap pine, that you can almost see the grain through the thin dry looking flat paint. Target used to sell a really nice coat rack so like this. The wood was high-quality. It had a satin finish white paint on it and had six hooks. They discontinue it and replace it with this cheap piece. Why Target Why!!

Works and looks great
Looks great, holds 40lbs which is awesome, easy to install, just use scissors to remove the packaging by cutting the back of the plastic screws off.

Packaging is hard to remove
Like the product but can’t get the packaging off. Have to return for that reason. Seems to unscrew but it won’t.
