Nice piece but wall anchors suck
Looks great, but putting it up was a pain. The anchors it comes with are not good quality. Four of them broke while screwing. I like the piece itself, but I’d recommend buying different anchors on Amazon. It was much easier with the Amazon anchors.

Decent rack, terrible hardware
Like the natural wood look and that the accordion can fit different spaces. The hardware it comes with is terrible. 5 out of 6 of the sheetrock anchors broke going into the wall. I recommend having sturdy ones on hand, so you don't end up with mismatch screw head colors.

Save your money definitely not worth $20
The pegs and screws used to put this together are complete cheap crap. I was trying to take some of the pegs off to paint them and others needed to be tightened and the screws started to fall apart and the pegs would not come off because only 1 of them was designed correctly with metal on the inside the rest of them were just forced onto the screws so you can’t tighten.

Hardware is worthless
The anchor screws are worthless. They do not go into the wall by themselves. After getting pilots holes the correct size (which is wrong in the instructions), the anchor screws are just shredding to bits.

Use your own hardware
Don’t bother with the hardware that came with it and purchase your own set of drywall anchors and drill pilot holes. The pegs aren’t long or sturdy enough to hold anything substantial besides hats, necklaces or other lightweight accessories. I wanted to use this to hang my kids backpacks but looks like standard hooks are the way to go. A disappointing product.

Doesn't exactly hold
Such a great concept but if you try to use all knobs for coats it gets messy! The material is just too slippery and the angle of the knobs aren’t steep enough. Our coats slip right off. I ended up taking rubber bands and wrapping them around the knobs to give the jacket something to catch on to. Had I known this I wouldn’t have purchased. I didn’t realize this flaw until it was up and we were a week into using it.

A lot of hooks, but really short
I got this for my daughters bedroom and while it does have a lot of hooks they are pretty short & I wish they had a ball on the end or something like that so that things wouldn't fall off. Even with all the hooks things slide off really easily. :\ So you definitely can't take advantage of how many hooks there are, so I've removed a few stars. I guess if you extended to max length it would be more helpful, but that's the benefit of accordion coat racks, you can choose the width.

Terrible mounting hardware
The drywall anchors for this product are such poor quality that we now have 4 large holes in our wall and were unable to successfully insert any of the anchors. We drilled pilot holes and still had no luck. The anchors are cheap plastic and split with almost any force put on them, which is necessary to get them to screw even a little bit into the drywall. We used a stud finder too to make sure we were drilling in a good place. And the hardware still failed. Do not recommend.

Cute and sturdy! I plan to buy a second one! That said— I’m pretty sure we ditched the wall anchors it came with for some heftier ones, but that’s just because we tend to hang heavier items/bags, it should be sturdy enough for normal use, jackets, etc.
