Just wow. A MUST read.

I just finished The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, and I’m honestly at a loss for words. It was one of the most powerful, emotional books I’ve ever read. Set in France during WWII, it tells the story of two sisters and the impossible choices they face to survive and resist. What struck me most was how it honored the often-overlooked role women played in the war, not just behind the scenes, but at the heart of the fight for freedom, for family, and for dignity. It’s heartbreaking, beautiful, and incredibly human. A story that will stay with me for a long time.

Daring and adventurous

It was a struggle to get into this book at first since there was a lot of character development. But, boy oh boy! Once the storyline picked up I couldn’t put it down! The ending is so bittersweet! The story is so compelling and exciting that you root for the protagonists and you fear when they fear! Kristin Hannah is such a great story teller! I DEFINITELY recommend!!!

Yes!!

It's a slow start, so you have to read at least half before it gets good. But it is so worth it!

I absolutely love this book. It was my first Kristin Hannah book and now I want to buy them all. The shipping was fast and it didn't come with that 30% target sticker on the front that in store books come with.

Once in a generation must read!

I absolutely loved this book. It is my favorite of Kristen Hannah’s books. I read it in ONE day! I couldn’t put it down. Tremendous character development, historical insight that almost transports a person to that time period. Tender, and heartbreaking at times. I cried at least 4 times. Beautiful story of love, family, selflessness and friendship and the commitment to the four, even in the most astonishingly difficult times. I will be reading it again!!!

Such a beautiful & heartfelt book.

I adore this book. It’s a little slow at first but eventually pulls you right in and you won’t want to put it down. A beautiful and heartfelt story that really got me back into reading after not picking up a book for many years. Highly recommend! Also, can we just talk about how STUNNING the cover is?!
