Guests are saying
The recent reformulation of this lotion has left many long-time users disappointed, as they feel it no longer provides the same moisturizing benefits and pleasant scent they cherished. Guests have expressed frustration over the new texture, scent, and overall effectiveness, with many seeking alternatives. However, some guests still appreciate its moisturizing properties and find it effective for their skin. The product's history of reliability makes the changes particularly hard to accept for loyal users.

Bring back the original dry skin formula!
Like others who've left a one star review (the current product doesn't deserve it but we had no choice, if we wanted our opinions to be read). I was hugely disappointed that the white bottle with blue cap lotion has been discontinued. I used it for decades and it was the ONLY lotion that felt right on my dry skin. The new alternative is rubbish, by comparison. Waste of money. The white bottle with blue top was the 'go to' formula for me and countless others. I'm now searching, so far in vain, for a replacement lotion. Nivea, you've lost me as a customer because I will not be fobbed off with an inferior product. White bottle and blue top was PURE GOLD. Seriously, it was top-class, in a market full of sticky, tacky and over-priced 'substitutes.

Bring back the old product
Used the old Moisturising Body Lotion for years (the one with the blue lid and white bottle) and it was great. None of your current products compare and I've gone to another brand.

base cream changes are dangerous
i have used the base cream nivea since 1969 on daily basis after sustaining injuries to the face. I recently obtained new jar and I had a severe reaction all over my body of rash ,redness, stinging pain with my family urging me to go to nearest ER. I subsided after 1 hour . to make sure it was the cream I rub some (just a little on my arms and had the same reaction but less due to amount applied. This is very bad for public especially those with sensitive skin. retired np- Betty

Hyaluronic acid has ruined the formula
This latest formula smells yucky and feels terrible on my skin. I miss the classic formula, which I used for decades! Please revive the old formula and get rid of hyaluronic acid.

Nivea has lost its way!
Used the Nivea dry skin lotion white bottle blue lid for 40 years plus After sun, Toner and Face Wash. Now you’ve changed the formula on After sun and it’s terrible, sits on top of skin in big clumps that have to be wiped off with a towel, and you’ve stopped the dry skin lotion all together! Utterly poor and disappointing and as I’ve just read so many other people use both so why on earth would it be changed / discontinued! Need to realise you’ve made terrible decisions and revert back to what the customers love and but consistently!

I abhor the new formula.
I had no idea this formula had changed, and the new one is absolutely terrible! The smell is awful, texture isn't the same at all. What happened? Bring back the original! After I return this bottle, I will be looking for alternatives.

Lotion
I love this lotion as a man! My only problem is the cap, it gets so messy that it leaves lotion stains on my bed because the cap gets so messy! I will continue to buy this but please give me another option so it doesn’t get so messy on the cap! Thx

Bitterly Disappointed
I absolutely hate the Essentially Enriched Body Lotion that replaced the Body Milk Lotion. It's runny and feels greasy and it's hard to smooth over your body. I'm bitterly disappointed they changed the formula on a perfectly good product. Once I'm no longer able to find the Body Milk lotion in discount stores I will be on the hunt for a new lotion after many many years of loyalty! I really hope you would consider either changing the formula back to the original or selling both versions, otherwise you've lost me as a customer. Some things don't need to be changed or improved upon, they are perfect as is.

Bring old formula back
This new formula feels like water on the skin, I don’t know if it’s shrinkflation or what. But please bring the formula back.

Bring back the old 48 hour product
I have been a user of Nivea lotion for a very long time. I use several different ones. The Shea Nourish is great after the shower. I used the Essentially Enriched for my face every morning and every night before bed. The new formula is just not the same. The feel, the scent the way it absorbs. Need to start looking for a new face lotion, very disappointed and sad.

Why??
Another 30 year user disappointed by the new formula. The new scent is sickly sweet, cheap-smelling. I cannot have it on my body. Will be returning it and looking for a replacement. Sigh.

Not a patch on the Nivea extra dry lotion
Does not give the same smooth shine texture to my skin as the old product. Sticky and hard to rub in. Why change something that has been so good and really soften dry skin? I have used Nivea items for over 50years. Time to look for another product. Bye bye Nivea

Hyaluronic acid isn’t for everyone
I write this at 3 am in the morning. Why? Because I was awaken by the scent. Nose and eye irritation from this lotion. The scent is overwhelming strong and my skin was left feeling dry and very itchy. Because the lotion wasn’t absorbing into my skin I felt this layer that didn’t make my skin feel soft, smooth or supple but gritty and dry. Not all of your lotions need to have hyaluronic acid in it, it’s not for everyone. Now I’m extremely disappointed after purchasing a 16 oz for my son and a 33 oz for myself. I don’t know what to do with all this lotion but I cannot use it. I hate when companies change a formula that worked in the past for something THEY feel is best for everyone. I’ve been to several stores and now the website and I’m not seeing the one that worked best for my skin anywhere. What do I do with all this lotion that I can’t use? If you have scent allergies, dry skin, sensitive skin or skin allergies do not use this. There was one that I purchased about a year ago that I can no longer find, bring that one back! The was scent was mild and pleasant and left my skin feeling smooth without extra moisturizers, like oils. If your company feels compelled to have options for people that’s fine, add different selections but keep the formulas that sensitive folks can use please and thank you.
