A: I received mine recently. I think the lot code was rubbed off somehow. I see a spotted black streaked on the side of the lid which I'm guessing was the lot code number.
submitted byblackflecks - 3 years agoA: The raised numbers on the bottom of the NIVEA Crème glass jar are related to the manufacturing of the glass jar, not the NIVEA Crème itself. The lot code for the NIVEA Crème is located on the outer edge of the lid, and is in dark print. The lot code will either be a series of 8 numbers or 8 numbers followed by 2 letters. In all cases, the first number of the code is the last digit of the year the product was produced, and the next two numbers are the week of the year. For example, Lot Code 02350957 indicates the product was produced in 2020 in the 23rd week of the year. The zero stands for production in 2020. The second and third numbers are the week of production, in this example week 23 (June). The NIVEA Crème is good for 30 months from the date of manufacture.

The cream is great. The packaging is terrible! The sound of the lid being screwed off has made me not want to use it! I finally put it in another jar and I’m so much happier. It was like nails on a chalkboard.

This is the best creme! I like the tin can, so wish it would come back in that container, instead of the plastic and glass. This is great for arms and face. helps lock in moisture and does not feel slimy. Timeless product.

Hands down the best cream. I swear by this drugstore moisturizer. It works better than most high end moisturizer. I have very dry skin and it lathers very nicely. I especially love to use it before applying my makeup. I do have fairly sensitive skin and it does not irritate it. It’s my top favorite moisturiser to use since 2018.

I usually carry the small blue tin to keep my hands moisturized because I frequently wash my hands. I love the way it keeps them soft so I wanted to get the big tub to try on the rest of my body. Apparently there’s ways for this to be applied correctly and I like to just put on my lotion and go. This cream is very thick and I didn’t like the feeling of it all over my body, but I use it on my elbows, knees, and feet. I also use the big tub to refill my small tins, a little bit of this cream goes a long way.

So I do like this creme, and i like the glass Jar. However, the plastic lid is AWFUL! I keep finding plastic specs and tiny strips/shavings from the lid in the cream. I actually broke out in a rash all over my chest from using it, and i suspect it may be due to the amount of plastic in the creme. How about upgrading to a metal or glass lid?

I use this as a face mask! I put it on thick until there’s a white cast all over my face and leave it on overnight. In the morning I leave it on as long as possible and dab the excess of with a towel. I have combo skin but live in the desert and this saves my skin during the cold months! I wake up to a soft face.

I remember my mom used this when I was a little girl. I use it on my body and occasionally on my face. I usually try to be careful with fragranced creams on my sensitive face, but this is so moisturizing that sometimes it’s all that will work. It’s not recommended around the eyes and it’s too heavy for that area anyway.

This is the end of your search for a night cream. I have spent over a year testing different nightly skin routines. After having a rough pregnancy and not doing night serums and such before bed I noticed it took a toll on my skin. I’ve tried experimenting with expensive products and such and nothing did it for me. Grabbed this on a whim because I had it back in highschool 10 years ago. This is IT!! It’s brought life back into my dull skin and has smoothed out wrinkles. With just two days of use I noticed a difference in my skin and it improving. I’m about to start using this on my feet as well because they are prone to get dry and this is such a thick and moisturizing cream. After I hop out of the shower, apply some toner I slather this on and go to bed. Wake up with the softest skin ever. This is the bees knees

The cream is great but the lid breaks into tiny little pieces every time I open it so I wouldn’t recommend getting this unless you want microplastics in your lotion. So unfortunate because I love this cream it’s so hydrating

You have to make sure your skin is completely dry before applying because otherwise it clumps and won't rub in. It also takes forever to absorb and feels very heavy and is on the greasy side. Might be okay using as an eye cream.

I used to only use the cerave lotion but that suddenly stopped working for me. So I tried a bunch of different lotions after that and none of them, no matter how expensive or cheap, would actually mousturize my face. My face felt really dry and stretched with a layer of product over it. So I tried this. I almost cried. It immediately soothed my skin and I felt comfortable. I love it. I use it day and night. It does leave you glowing so if you don't like that, just use it at night. What I do is in the day, I put it on, let it sit for a while and then gently tap at my face with some tissue to get the excess product off and minimize the shine. 10/10 recommend. (Please continue to make this product and never change the recipe)

Nivea Creme is very thick and hard to spread on its own (hence the 4 stars). I blend it with an equal amount of Cerave in the palms of my hands and then apply it. It works beautifully and is very moisturizing (5 stars for me). It also cuts down on the Nivea scent (which I don’t mind at all) for those who thinks it smells too strong.

If you like thick creams, this is the end all be all. You will wake up the next morning with this basically still on your skin. Now, I haven’t been using it long enough to know if it’s making any sort of difference, but I LOVE the thickness.

Item is great as ever! My issue with it is that it was packaged by a menace. I got this item shipped and it arrived with that target branded plastic tape they put around stuff sometimes to help prevent leaks and breaks while shipping. For some reason, somebody taped around the entire perimeter of the SCREW ON cap. The tape left a residue that I spent 30 mins scrubbing off. This stuff comes sealed anyways so there's no reason to tape It!!!! If that's protocol or whatever maybe one strip of tape across the top will do. Now I'm going to have sticky tape chunks on my hand trying to open this thing trying to moisturize my face.
