Guests are saying
This lotion has garnered a strong following for its effective moisturizing properties, making it a favorite among guests with dry skin. Many appreciate its rich texture and ability to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. However, some guests have expressed disappointment over recent formula changes, particularly regarding scent and texture. Despite this, the lotion remains a go-to for those seeking hydration and nourishment, especially during colder months.

Good choice
This lotion does a great job, it absorbs quickly and makes my skin so soft. The smell isn’t really something I’m into so I just use the lotion before bed.

Very thick and not especially moisturizing! I was hoping that this was similar to the Hydroboost lotion in effectiveness but it's not and doesn't work any better than lubriderm.

Formula change
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this particular Nivea since 2014. When I started using it it changed my life, my skin was finally seen and my issues were taken care of. And now over a decade later a crappy formula change ruined my Favorite lotion. I unfortunately am not a fan. The OG was incredible why did you change!?

gross - please return to old formula
I have been using this product through several name changes (extra enriched; enriched with Vit. D) and it was always fine. I liked the way it worked and that it had no fragrance. I often received compliments on my youtful appearance and always said " I've been moisturizing daily since I was 18 and bragged about the nivea extra enriched, but this is gross and will make sure to tell everyone. Now it stinks. Additionally, I now have a light rash on my face, athough I can't be sure it is from the new formula until I quit using it. I will go back to curel/lubriderm until you take out the fragrance.

Do not recommend
I bought this on sale and have used it for 2 months, my skin became increasingly drier, sore, itchy and flaking. One day back using Curel and my skin is feeling moisturized and so much better,

Heartbreaking new formula is not good
Not hydrating, broke out my skin, and I’ve been a loyal customer, my aunts used to smell like Nivea, you have ruined core memories w/ my family by changing the smell. Now it smells like baby powder and you ruined your legacy. So sad, I want a refund and an apology by return to the old formula

Bad new formula
If Nivea does go back to the original, many will have already moved on. The new formula is thin. Not shiny. And I loved the old version. Booo Nivea

Bad smelling new formula
You ruined my favorite lotion.New one smells generic and cheap and baby powdery I’m throwing mine away. The old formula smelled luxurious and a true nivea smell . This new formula is so abhorrent. Smells like a doodoo

Bring back the old formula!
I had no idea there was a change until I needed to restock. Saw the new 72h HA version and was excited to try. The smell is absolutely overpowering - strong baby powder smell and it makes me feel like my throat and nose is burning. Even my husband commented on how it smelled bad. Also, it’s very sticky and greasy and leaves me feeling like I need another shower. I will have to find something else to use. Annoyed that I bought the biggest bottle because I had loved this stuff so much. Don’t fix what isnt broken!!!

Smells like all rich Nivea products, works well
I used the original Nivea lotion decades ago. But I didn't like it, and I thought the smell was too strong. As I have aged, my legs are even more dry now than they used to be. So I gave this lotion a try. I love it! It smells just like the old stuff in my opinion, but maybe even slightly lighter. I feel like almost all Nivea products have that same type of base sent. It does go on thick, but I just use a whole lot of it so I can smear it everywhere and I don't have to worry about it pulling on my skin like some reviewers. It takes a little time, not a lot, and then it is absorbed in the skin. And then throughout the day, my skin feels unbelievably soft. I thought my skin would never feel this soft because I'm older now. But it feels amazing with this lotion. Thank you! Although, judging from the comments, you probably should've made this a different lotion instead of completely reformulating the first and taking it off the market.

Greasy!
This is the worst lotion I’ve ever bought! It’s so greasy no matter how much you rub your hands and it gets on your clothes, desk, keyboard etc. I threw it away the first day.

Hard to Absorb, Not Really Moisturizing
One other reviewer had mentioned this new formulation is like sunscreen and I couldn't agree more! Great observation on his/her behalf! I usually apply body lotion to my skin when it's still damp right out of the shower. I find that this reformulation actually clumps or pools up into the web area of my hands between my fingers when applying. On dry skin, it's actually difficult to apply. While it doesn't leave a greasy film—which is nice—it's actually pulling on my skin when rubbing it in. Not a fan of this product at all and it's not very moisturizing whatsoever. Nivea has a track record for reformulating products far too often and not for the better. I'm about ready to jump ship. Apparently, they didn't learn from the moisturizing lip balm fiasco a few years ago. If they'd stop focusing on all their so-called sustainability and "we have to virtue signal that we're going to save Mother Earth" efforts, they might not be in this situation. Sooooo tired of being shoved all of that type of crap down my throat when all I want is a body moisturizer and lip balm to work. That's not a lot to ask for from a company that specializes in body care products. If you want to play "Save the Planet," that's fine. It's clearly time to stop all of that when it's starting to hinder the efficacy and claims of the products you're peddling to your customers.
