North Portable Lap Desk: Medium-Density Fiberboard Surface

Very comfortable! I like the space that I have for my mouse. I’ve used it in the car during road trips and it’s a game changer.

The item is falling apart. The glue holding it together is coming undone.

I wanted to love this lap desk, but several issues keep it from being a solid purchase. The Bad: Right out of the box, the padding was already separating from the board - not a great first impression. While the carry handle is a nice touch, I'm honestly worried that using it will only make the separation worse and cause the whole thing to fall apart. The device holders are a major disappointment. They're too deep and too narrow to actually be functional with modern phones in cases. My phone just awkwardly sticks in there, and the bottom portion of the screen gets cut off, making it basically useless. The iPad holder has similar issues. The Good: I'll give credit where it's due - the mouse pad surface is actually really nice. It has a smooth, leather-like feel, and while it looked too narrow in the product photos, in practice it provides plenty of space for comfortable mouse movement across the entire screen. Bottom Line: The poor build quality (separation issue) combined with non-functional device holders makes this hard to recommend, despite the decent mouse pad. For the price, I expected better quality control and more thoughtful design. Unless they address these issues, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. I'd like to keep the lapdesk, but with the pad ripping away from the board upon receipt I'm highly concerned about quality control.

Had to return twice. The whole bottom comes unglued. Not a great product for the price.

Would not buy again nor do I recommend. It started falling apart within days of purchasing it. I’m going to have to buy super glue to glue it back together.

Arrived with chipped laminate on the corner and the underside padding nearly falling off due to failing glue. Probably fixable, but very disappointing.

This is very poor quality and started falling apart the day I brought it home. Even though it’s not technology, it has a 30 day “tech” return policy.

Good quality for the price. The mouse pad area on mine arrived already peeling away so I’m not generally confident in the lap desk’s durability. I’d also prefer if the plastic inserts could be removed and cleaned.

Works great my only issue it the weird mouse pad. I just purchased a cheap one and use it over the top

Eh. It works as it says it does but that is about it. Nothing to write home about honestly. It's a lap desk. Nothing fancy. The little pad for the mouse. Is already peeling. But it works so. I guess there's that.

I love this laptop desk! Sits really comfortably on your lap. Also sturdy enough to lay on a couch or bed and still provides a solid workspace. Has a carrying handle, a built in mouse pad and a place to dock your phone. 10/10

This laptop lap desk is great for hobby, work from home, or crafts. It is very comfortable with a pillow backing that elevates the desk iff the legs a bit. It has a nice cushion support for your wrists , as well as a mouse pad area for using a mouse. It has two slots indented on the top, one for a tablet, one for a cellphone to be held in. Its durable, lightweight, and comfortable to use. Its the right size without being too bulky.

Such a cool thing to have! Perfect for using your laptop on the couch or kids can do homework on it etc. I love the modern look of it and it has some great features like the wrist cushion and tablet slot.

This lap desk is one of the better ones I’ve experienced. The cushioning is nice and doesn’t get too warm after extended use. I’ve used both at home and in the car on long trips. The storage slots are great for both an iPad or iPhone. The one thing I wished it had was a slot in those storage slots to be able to plug in your charger while using the lap desk.

This lap desk is made of high quality materials: a wood base with a cushioned fabric backing and a cushioned fabric wrist support on the top. It also has built-in spots to place both a cell phone and tablet. And there's a faux leather area on the right that works well as a mousepad. It is comfortable to use both with a laptop or when hand writing something using pen and paper. It has a handle on the side that makes it easy to carry.

The Lap Desk with Breathable Pillow cushioning by North is a smartly made, portable and lightweight lap desk that I have grown to love. This lap desk has built in pockets and grips to hold phones, tablet, etc. Very comfortable cushioning as well.

This is so much more of a useful product than I imagined. It is very well-made & good quality. The cushions are soft, yet firm while the wood is stable & sturdy. The cushioned wrist rest is a nice feature that I wish I would have known about before. My two favorite features are the spacious size & the phone stand (including placement of).

I love this lap desk. It’s pretty big, which I personally love because I always have a lot stuff I need. I had to take a 2 hour zoom call, and take notes for it, and my laptop and notebook fit perfectly. It’s very sturdy, and I love how it’s not heavy, plus it has a built in mouse pad. I really enjoy the light colors. Fits my style perfectly!

I love this laptop lap desk. I work from home and use it on the couch when I want to keep working but need a change of scenery. It fits my regular size laptop perfectly and has a nice spot to use my wireless mouse. The padding for the legs and wrists is comfortable. I love it so much I’m not taking off stars, but it did arrive with the fake wood chipping on multiple corners (see photos).
