Q: The description states that some lights will steadily stay on as others will twinkle. Is there a way to make that a reality or all lights on - one half then the other half of the strand are fully shutting off + poorly timed.

A: These lights are designed to only twinkle. However, select bulbs twinkle while other remain steady burning, to create a relaxing twinkle effect.

Good quality 100 clear twinkling star icicle Christmas lights - white wire - 10.1 ft. Although, the product can loose in an envelope - NOT EVEN IN A BOX.

It took me a little wrangling, but I got mine not to randomly flash! I didn’t really like the “random” default setting, since in my window they looked like they were going out in weird sections. The strand has two red “flasher bulbs” built in that make it flash. If you remove those and sub in the two plain replacement bulbs that come will the set, it will stay steadily lit. You do need to pull out the bottom casing with the bulb (see photo) but it pulls out pretty easily if you can get a fingernail between it and the strand link.
