Scan the QR code on the product package that accesses www.smartlabel.org which goes directly to the product information page. Or visit smartlabel.org and enter the UPC. - This website does not collect information about the consumer or their devices. - The bioengineered food disclosure will be displayed in smaller text below the product name. There are 3 disclosure types: “One or more ingredients derived from a bioengineered source.” “Contains a bioengineered food ingredient.” If there is not smaller text below the product name that mean it does not require a disclosure. 2.) 1-800 number on the product package (same number consumers use today to reach the call center) Consumers must select the IVR option for bioengineered food disclosure Consumers must have the product UPC and enter the UPC (bar code numbers including the ones to the right and left) on the product package Telephone option is available 24hours/7days week.
