Fantastic book!! She gives more than just recipes. She gives food knowledge, as well as health knowledge, and mental health knowledge. If we make real use of her book, it’ll help us in the long run long to personally feel better and feel peace.

I purchased this cookbook because I admire this celebs whole eating and good for you lifestyle, for herself and family. As you would expect, it is her LONG life story that has been told over and over and over thru the press in the last years. I didn't learn anything new or different. She worked with a health provider to eat better and quit the sins of humans...no new info there! The recipes are just okay. I have most of them somewhere in my kitchen with other authors. So all in all this is just an okay cookbook if you already have been on a healthy eating plan. If you are new to plant based receipes and more enlighting advice for common food related issues, she has some good basic advice and receipes to try. Pictures of her thru out, which are beautful like a celeb cookbook would have. I returned this just because it wasn't worth the expense when I most likely wouldn't use more than one or two of the receipes.

This book has loads of great vegetarian recipes. I especially like the 'crunches & condiments' section that has some really delicious sauces (cashew ranch dressing!) and snacks (crispy roasted shiitake mushrooms!) and the sweets section (avocado-lime mousse with no added sugar). I can't wait to make more of these recipes as spring and summer veggies start to show up in the farmers' market. Clarkson Potter provided me with a free copy of this book; the opinions are my own.
