Since the rug is made from natural jute and cotton, it might have a light earthy smell at first—that’s totally normal and just part of the natural fibers. The good news is, it usually fades pretty quickly once you unroll it and let it air out for a day or two.

Q: Is the 8x10 really 8x10? This same rug is for sale on other sites and they all list it at 7'6" x 9'6"

A: Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, but dry it fast. Blot the water, air dry in sunlight or use a fan. If it stays damp or smells, get it professionally cleaned.

Q: Will this rug shed, (like sisal rugs do)?
