Honestly I was really into this book in the beginning but as it went on and the non factual, non science backed tidbits kept coming I had to quit. Moms are overwhelmed with information and putting a book together that has no scientific support is unhelpful. I enjoyed the reflection tidbits but could do without the uneducated information - for example she states circumcision is a personal preference and does not help prevent disease. Wrong. Quick google search will give you a CDC article and several medical journals to refute this. Also, there is a section on the how to’s of bed sharing. Seriously?!

I got this book for a friend and she adores it. It is very homeopathic forward but backs her claims up with evidence. Everything you want in a pregnancy book. I’m excited to read it myself when it’s my time.

Lovely guide to pregnancy and birthing. Great wellness tips, and not too overwhelming to take in.

This was my first pregnancy purchase and leaving this review in the third trimester as I’m still picking it up and using it regularly. Great advice for the actual human that is having the baby versus medical baby advice. Helpful prompts, checklists and tips. Feeling more prepared and educated thanks to this book and will be getting it aa a gift for friends in the future!

I am only part way through the book but I have enjoyed all the given information. I love the tips, food ideas, and that it doesn't say you have to do this a certain way. Her recommendations come from many years of experience ans I feel like I can trust that! Thank you!!

Really well produced book - love the illustrations and the structure of the chapters as it takes a holistic and mama-centric approach to the emotional and physical changes and entry into pregnancy and parenthood. While written by a doula, I find the book to be unbiased and comprehensive in all approaches to birth. Will be a useful resource for the next year, at least!
Excited to read!
