Good book

5 out of 5 stars

Heard a lot of great things about this book so gave it a shot. I like that she explains a lot of different methods for people to try, including gradual approaches. The author also doesn’t talk vaguely or ramble on. She writes in a fun style which helps when you’re busy and lacking sleep! The book is specific in examples and advice, and also is funny and to the point. Has a good overview of all ages and also talks about naps in addition to bedtime sleep.

This book is fantastic!! I gift it at all my friend’s showers. She explains how baby sleep works so well. Easy to read and pretty funny at times too, which helps when you’re sleep deprived and at your wits end. This book is 100% the reason both my kids are great sleepers, there’s no question I would have started a lot of bad habits if I hadn’t read it. Her website is very helpful too! If you don’t like the harshness of “cry it out”, she offers several different options which might work better for your family. One option is a gentler “fuss it out”, which worked for us, but other families need different approaches. The other fantastic thing about this book was the breakdown of what is “normal” and expected at each age. This helped me adjust my expectations. I don’t write online reviews ever, but this one’s worth it. Also- get the butt spatula (baby bum brush). If you don’t know why yet, you will…
