A: hot glue over the tiny hole in the lid has stopped the leak for me at least once so far.

Q: it states it doesn't require batteries, how it is powered?
A: It is trigger-based. You can easily squeeze the trigger on the handle and control the spray action. Kind of like a spray bottle with a mop attached to it!

As you pull the handle, a plunger pushes air through the water bottle which, in turn, pushes the water out of the sprayer. One less thing to buy! Thanks again for reaching out and happy cleaning!
