Intense suspense
I was reminded of the series, White Collar, where the art thief helps the FBI solve cases, In One Wrong Move, the main character (Christian) is a reformed art thief who installs security systems in high end art galleries and Andi is a former FBI forensics person who is now an insurance investigator. There are two plots to this story, Christian and Andi trying to find out who is behind the heists and stop them and Christian's brother, Deckard and Andi's friend Harper trying to find out if/who framed Andi so that she lost her job with the FBI and why. This book is intense suspense, never knowing when the bad guys will attack and how far they will go to stop the main characters. Lots of twists and turns, romance, humor, faith, family dynamics, and action packed scenes.

One insurance investigator, one FBI agent, four private investigators, and two cases to solve make for an intense read. While two too-quick romances don't always add up, in this case they are not greater than the suspense so the reading pleasure is not decreased. Bullets are flying everywhere, riddles are dropped as clues, and the investigators travel by land, air, and sea. There is non-stop action as the investigators divide to conquer. Themes of dealing with one's past and forgiving those who caused much grief, even if one of those people is oneself is well-developed. Readers see the contrast between bitterness allowed to take root and becoming a new creature in Christ. I highly recommend One Wrong Move to fans of romantic suspense. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy from Bethany House via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Amazing and Page Turner Romantic Suspense!
I’ve been anxiously waiting for Dani Pettrey’s new series, and OMG! She never disappoints! Christian O’Brady and his two siblings have a shady past, being pulled into a life of crime by their parents who were con artists. Now, many years after, he’s trying to atone his past by being the best private investigator and security expert possible. But when a series of antique galleries heists target one of the galleries Christian secured, he is paired of with Andi Forester, a very talented insurance investigator who works for the insurance company of one of the galleries. But Andi also has a dark unresolved past when she worked for the FBI that she is trying to live behind. As they get to be in forced proximity, an attraction suddenly blossoms. But is it something deep and worthwhile or a passing connection? Will their past affect their growing relationship? Or will their past catch up to them and put their lives in danger? This was an amazing start to the Jeopardy Falls Series! Pettrey has a way of immersing you in a page turner engaging plot from the first page until the last, making it hard to put the book down! I read it pretty quickly because I needed to find out what would happen next and how Christian and Andi would survive threat and danger lurking around every corner. The mystery was totally captivating. Actually there were two cases, one more related to Christian, the one of the art heists, which Andi and Christian are trying to solve, and another more related to Andi, which involves a murder which may or may not have been solved wrong, lead by Christian’s brother Deckard and Andi’s bff Harper. In a sense, there are two parallel stories developing at the same time, but it was made in a way that wasn’t confusing and hooked up pretty well. The characters are so relatable and loveable, flawed, trying hard to prove their worth. Christian, other than gorgeous, was a swoony hero with admirable traits like humility, integrity, courage and protectiveness. I loved how his relationship with Andi quickly turns into something deeper, and I loved the way he watched out for her. His relationship with God was endearing and inspiring. Andi was a great heroine too, with her resilience, honesty, courage too, and professionalism. I loved her friendship with Harper and how they had each other backs. I loved the parallel story between Deckard and Harper, and I can only say I can’t wait for their own story in book two or three. The same goes for Riley and Greyson. They all feel like a tight-knit bond fraternity team who watch out for each other, like a small family. Their interactions, banter and dialogues were the best! The villains were really creepy, particularly the one who has his own POV. That made the story even more intriguing. There’s lots of action and unexpected twists in the story. Definitely a book I highly recommend, but let me warn you: try to make time for this book, because you won’t be able to put it down! A fantastic start to a new series! A thrilling ride full of suspense, deadly intrigue and sweet romance! An inspirational message too! I can’t wait for the next book to come out! Hopefully soon! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Amazing Must Read!!!
Wowza, Dani Pettrey has penned another winner that is chock full of adrenaline-pumping suspense, toe-curling romance, and a soul-stirring faith story! I absolutely loved Andi and Christian, they are such a great couple and it is a joy to watch them fall in love! This author does an incredible of crafting settings that become a character in the story. Whenever I read a Dani Pettrey book I feel like I’ve gone on vacation to the setting because it is written so vividly, and this book is no exception! I love a small town setting and Jeopardy Falls has quickly become a favorite! The redemption story in One Wrong Move is absolutely beautiful and just might make you tear up! Dani Pettrey’s books are a master class in how to write realistic faith woven organically into the storyline, so so good! This author’s books are fast-paced and I’m always perched at the edge of my seat while I fly through the pages, but conversely there is also a relaxing quality to her books that makes me like I’m chilling in a hammock or some other comfy spot, and these are only two of a billion reasons why I love her books so much! Sibling series are my absolute fave! I’m already obsessed with the MacLeod family, and cannot wait for book 2! I’ve read everything this author has published and One Wrong Move is one of my favorites by her! I wish I could rate it higher than five stars! I seriously absolutely adored every second I spent reading this book and most highly recommend it. If you only read one romantic suspense book this year, read this one, you won’t regret it! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and publisher! My review was not influenced in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own

Fantastic adventure
Christian and Andi are a dynamic duo. I loved watching them work side by side and also loved following the two crime mysteries converge into one beautifully orchestrated story because of Christian and Andi. The plot was intricate and intense, full of action, adrenaline, and surprises. Dani Pettrey really knows how to write romantic suspense - this book will grab you from the start and you will not be able to put it down. Christian, despite his horrible childhood, is a rock solid hero who is loyal, steadfast, and dedicated. I loved meeting his family and cannot wait to see more of his siblings in the series. Andi is smart and likable. Though it takes a little while for them to warm up to each other, their romance is sigh-worthy. Bring on the next adventure in Jeopardy Falls, NM! I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Bethany House via LibraryThing and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.
