Two tense tales!
Whiteout by Lynette Eason and Dani Pettrey contains two romantic suspense novellas set in Colorado. I cannot imagine being trapped by an avalanche or having to survive a blizzard with a killer on the loose. Both novellas feature suspense and mystery, with the whodunit element introduced early. Some parts, however, seem unrealistic. I cannot imagine taking a group out for heli-skiing knowing that a storm is imminent. The stalker's motives needed more development to seem believable. The characters could have been more developed, but that's typical for a novella. The faith element was light but present (prayers). I liked the character’s, Mya and Gideon. It was suspenseful, well-paced, and flowed smoothly. It was a tad on the cheesy side. The suspense was intensified thanks to the mountains, avalanche, and storm. Buried in Shadows and Snowboard Secrets are the two tense tales in Whiteout.

Fun Read!
I am a longtime reader of both Lynette Eason and Dani Pettrey, so this was a must read book for me. The stories contained within this collection are really fun reads. I enjoyed the premise that both stories were dealing with avalanches and that the people involved in the stories were cut off from the outside world while also being in danger from a sinister source. That definitely added another element of danger to the stories! The mysteries were good and kept me guessing at the villains and their motives. A great dual story set! I received a copy of this book from the publisher and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
