My go to hash brown when making cheesy potatoes; the potatoes stay hard, taste is great - I add little garlic salt to mine also great to make potato soup. Easy to store in freezer : I always use whole bag when making potato soup or cheesy potatoes. Great product and price is great!!

These shredded hash browns have become a weekend staple for us. We fry them lightly in a bit of vegetable oil and they come out perfectly crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not greasy at all. The texture is just right and the flavor is great on its own or, our personal favorite, is to put them in breakfast burritos with eggs and bacon. Half the batch disappears before I can even assemble the burritos because my kids are picking them straight out of the pan. Definitely a repeat buy in our house.

Just The Thing for Easy, Crispy Potato Pancakes
Bought these on sale during Chanukkah, as I do every year, to avoid the labor and mess of shredding raw potatoes for potato latkes. Winner! They turned out even better than latkes made with raw potatoes. Never gummy, always crispy and brown. Next year I will try cooking the latkes in the air fryer or oven. Yummy!

I picked up my order at target today and never received any information that two of the items that I really needed have been canceled! I understand you may be busy, but I thought it was just a common courtesy to let someone know that a portion of their order would not be delivered to my car!! I needed these particular items for a recipe and for the next weeks of breakfast sandwiches. Imagine my surprise when I got home and checked my bags and neither the breakfast sandwiches nor the hashbrowns we’re in my order! I picked up this bag of Ore-Ida Shredded Hash Brown Potatoes (the classic red one with the cute tractor on it), and wow – it totally delivered on the “Potatoes Done Perfect” promise! Right out of the freezer, the shreds look clean, uniform, and not all clumped together like some other brands. No weird ice chunks or mystery discoloration – just pure potato goodness (gluten-free too, which is a nice bonus).

These are something I decided to try out because this went clearance. I'm usually not huge on the taste of hash browns, but these were okay. I used them to cook with some eggs, and they sufficed. They're not the most flavorful food, but I don't think they're supposed to be either. These did take a while to cook though.
