After initially opening the box and feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the pieces, it took me (without help) just under 2 hours to finish assembly. I was surprised to find that all tools necessary to assemble were included. The majority of the instructions were very simple to follow and the pictures helped with any questions I had. Additionally, there were notches indicating precisely where to screw this and that part which really helped in providing even spacing in the slats. All parts were enclosed in the package as expected and there were also a few spare pieces just in case, so I am grateful for no unexpected surprises. Everything was clearly labeled which helped speed up assembly. The porch swing arrived on time. I gave 4 stars because of the assembly and because the wood which is pine seemed to be very softer than it should have been.

I am a bit slow on assembly but this went fairly well. I had a problem on getting a couple of the bolts through their holes and that slowed me down. I finally used a hammer to drive them through. Once we had it installed the swing is very attractive and comfortable.
