I have rheumatoid arthritis on my hands/fingers/wrists and this product is so easy to open and close! Push the big button and take the lid off to open and put the lid on and push the big button to close & secure it. No twisting involved! I place wrapped sweets in this jar just for myself. I purchased the smaller one. It is made of plastic, so it will be light enough to wash. It was accidentally dropped and no cracks! OXO is a brand name I look for in kitchen supplies because they design with ergonomic qualities.

Love the cookie jar look for my protein powder, but over priced, and the lid is a little tricky to reassemble - if you don't do it correctly it won't properly seal. My issue was with shipping. Super fast, but NO packing material - the two I purchased bounced around loose hitting each other in the shipping box, and these scratch easily.
