A: Hi Mross - Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your interest in Packable Straw Down Brim Bucket Hat. This hat has "No UPF Rating" which means this could indicate a small brim, a fabric that doesn't adequately block UV rays, or even a mesh crown that doesn't offer complete coverage. Essentially, it's not designed to be a primary source of UV protection. But this is made of 80% Paper and 20% Polyester so the polyester content, particularly if tightly woven and/or treated with UV-blocking technology, contributes to the overall protection against harmful sun rays. This hat is nice enough, matches most of my wardrobe and gets the job done but the creases from packing it into my luggage haven't come out. It might not be noticeable to other people. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I mention it in case someone else is particular about those details.

This packable straw hat is great to use for a beach vacation and not take up a lot of suitcase space. The color of the hat is a nice shade and the black looks good to contrast. The hat is a bit large on my head but it still looks cute.

This packable sun hat is perfect for a day at the beach. The brim is large and definitely shades my neck and face. There is a tie inside to adjust the sizing of the hat. It easily fits in my suitcase when traveling. Highly recommend.

This Packable Straw Down Brim Bucket Hat from Shade & Shore is such a nice sun hat. The wide brim keeps the sun out of my eyes and protects my skin from the soon. This Packable Down Brim Bucket Hat has a nice wide brim to shade my entire face. Even though it's packable, it's not too floppy and will hold its shape. The black band gives it a finishing touch. I have a large-ish head for a woman, and it fits me great. This is just the type of hat that I like for yard work, hiking, or any outdoor activity. Love it!
