Finally! I used Google's AI Gemini to find a hair gel that was like the (now discontinued) GREE. hair gels from DEP and LA Looks. I had loved how the green gels didn't lock me into whatever shape or style I'd start with as some gels do (I can tell the instant I've applied the wrong kind as I can feel it in my hair, makes my hair heavier than just being wet). I'd apply the green gels while my hair was wet and my hair would just feel like it was wet with water, but the DIFFERENCE was, if I chose to blow it dry with a styling brush, the hair would cooperate as it had more body from the gel. The wrong glue-like gels would almost make my hair impossible to blow dry with a styling brush as it would almost get stuck in my hair, and the gel being SO HEAVY made it hard for my style to get ANY lift as the gel itself was heavy (defeating the purpose). I had ALSO loved the old GREEN gel for the coarse hair at the nape of my neck: when it was soaking wet, I'd apply the green gel to it and it would stay looking wet but NOT untouchable, definitely NOT crunchy like some gels that FREEZE hair & leave it sounding like dry raffia, feeling like the frozen hair was breaking off. I liked how the green gel would make that section of hair look wet all day; without it that section of coarse hair gets fuzzy and frizzy, so the only other choice I'd have to make that coarse hair look nice would be to flat-iron it (which looks silly because I air dry all the rest of my hair into soft curls except for the bangs I blow dry with a curl to give them height & a flat iron to pull down some bangs on my forehead), so having 1 section of hair flat ironed straight at the nape of my neck looks silly when the rest is soft air dryer touchable curls. Well, THANK GOD for this Paul Mitchell gels, as it truly delivers ALL THE BEST of those old discontinued flexible green hair gels, even on the patch of coarse hairs. I just apply it when that is soaking wet, scrunch it a bit and leave it alone, then ¡Voila! I've got the wet looking touchable curl that stays exactly that way ALL day. I'm truly delighted to have finally found a replacement as I'm getting to the bottom of my last bottle of green LA Looks! Trust me, if you liked LA Looks green flexible hold gel, or DEP green gel, this is going to work JUST like those!

I wish you made a creme product to thicken and add texture. This leaves my hair flat after a short time. Bumble & Bumble makes a nice thickening texture product.

I have thick wavy/curly hair and I’ve tried everything to define my curls and waves. This is THE BEST. Not sticky or crunchy at all, I can wear my hair 2-3 days and it’s so soft and normal feeling. And no scent at all

A bit pricy for the amount, but it has great, soft hold, that elongated and added beautiful definition to my daughter's twists. This pic is five days after her hair was twisted, and it's still bouncy and beautiful. I can't wait to unravel the twists for a curly look. My new go-to gel. ❤️

Love this styling gel. It really helps to add body and style your hair without feeling thick or sticky. I have been using this for years. Highly recommend.

Works great! Not sticky. You can still brush your hair. No flakes.
