Prevents cats' whiskers from touching the sides of the bowl as they drink. Also love that it's a pedestal, so they don't have to lean down as far to drink.

I ordered this item, and it came shattered in a box that was 4 sizes too big with one piece of paper. When they resent a second one, it too came shattered in the box. Target needs to work on their shipping. This is unacceptable and happens far too often.

Was excited to get this but it arrived broken. Was not wrapped in anything but the brown netting stuff, no additional wrapping. I never even opened it up because you could hear and feel the shattered glass and there were tiny pieces of it in the bottom of the box. Target really needs to package things better, such a waste.
