Such a good book I couldn’t put it down

This book was recommended to me, I gave it a chance and fell back in love with reading as a result. I was hooked so fast, but by chapter 12 there was no way I wasn’t gonna finish this book. Great writing, romance, horror, humor, visuals, everything I didn’t know I needed to indulge. I’m so excited to read the next one.

I recommend this book because it is much different than other Romantasy/ Dark romance books. It is also good because there is only one book. My only issue was that the ending was a little confusing. But..it is worth a read.

Phantasma was a solid book. I think my favorite thing about it was the OCD representation. Ophelia suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and the story does not treat her as an organized, but eccentric joke as is typically the case in media. You get to see the inner workings of her mind and it showcases how dreadful OCD can be. Ophelia sees it as a shadowy voice in her head who is always trying to break her and keep her on edge, and the comparison is apt. This is a good romantasy book. The New Orleans spooky carnival setting was fun, I think this would be best read in the fall for maximum vibes. I would have preferred this story to take place over a couple of books to give it more time to cook and for feelings to develop. However, the ending wrapped things up in a unique way and I was satisfied. I do recommend Phantasma to any romantasy readers who aren’t too squeamish for gore.

Excellent. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it because the writing is a little flowery in the beginning. If or continued throughout the book, I didn’t notice because the STORY is AMAZING. I got completely sucked in and read this is an afternoon.

Must pick for dark romance

Phantasma took “I couldn’t read the pages fast enough” to a whole new level. I absolutely devoured this book. The first few chapters took me a little longer to get through but as soon as Ophelia makes it into Phantasma I couldn’t put the book down. Ophelia and Blackwell’s chemistry was amazing. The plot twists… especially towards the end… had me sitting on the edge of my seat to say the least. I cannot wait for Enchanted to be released. Please read this book and recommend it to others ! You won’t regret it.

I thought the romance was amazing between Ophelia and Blackwell. The author used the word “insidious” way too many times. The storyline was a new genre to me and the enjoyed the games and trials part. There were other nuances that bothered me but I still enjoyed the book.

I have really been into the creepy and disturbing books lately and this one did not disappoint. It had it all really, angst, jealousy, spite, violence, a ball, dark corners, a plot twist, and one curious ghost cat. You’ll have to read to find out whether there is a HEA though 😈 Can’t wait for the next one! -BooklyGal

Love love love! Romance meets magic meets hunger games! Perfect amount of spice with an amazing storyline! No cliffhanger but definitely excited for her next book!
