I really like this journal. I am about a third into it and it’s been quite helpful for me to explore my shadows. Perhaps even areas I thought were healed. The informational aspect on the works of Carl Jung is enlightening. I like the graphics design in the exercises and the wide variety of tools to explore our shadows. It’s better than the one I bought for my granddaughter, frankly just the month before . Gave one to eldest daughter for her and bought one for myself. I think it might be a great gift if the person you gift it understands we all have shadows as well as light. I l like the size, it’s not bulky to slip into my bag, high quality durable psper.

AI Slop nonsense do not buy
Quickly becomes apparent it is AI slop. Many many instances of prompts asking you the same thing worded slightly differently. I wanted to power through it but it's just so bad and it feels insulting that someone thought this was okay to make. Waste of time, waste of paper and ink. The concept is useful just maybe look for something with an actual human author and resources to cite.

Great value!
Piccadilly shadow journal is very well put together! Everything from the page thickness/quality, to the fonts & illustrations, but especially the detail and variety, blew me away. I have purchased other journals for a similar price (usually at $5 or $6) and they were so boring and surface level that i never got past 1 page. Typically they are just endless open-ended prompts that made me feel like im back in school but not this one! This is not like those boring, cheaply Canva made journals. This journal has it all, from research & quotes, to a variety of illustrations, with different layouts and exercises. Yes there are some writing prompts but not as many as you typically see. They could change a few more writing prompts into something more fun but for the price, Im happy.

AI slop
The concept of this journal is great at first glance. Upon closer inspection, it's the AI version: outputting its plagiarism from input of real people's work. Whoever published this book must not have proof-read it—there are multiple grammar mistakes within the first 10 pages. It's a masterpiece of faked authenticity. The AI content is the antithesis to its "self work" concept. The aesthetic is a mood board, low quality AI images serving as examples of what would have looked good. It lacks the quality and substance I would expect from such a meaningful topic. The journal contains content inspired by Carl Jung's philosophies. As it is written by AI, it could all be made up facts. There are no credits to check where these ideas and advice come from. There is no author or illustrator for the "Shadow Growth Journal" content. Just AI generated text and illustrations, a frankensteined version of its shadow journal genre predecessors. It's giving consumers a roulette of staged quality and introspection. I think this journal had a good direction but totally missed the mark.

Stunning Self Growth
Super in depth for the people who already have done some/or a lot of self realization. Gorgeous and really special. I can’t believe the price, honestly.
