Didn’t soak up the dye AT all. We let them soak for 5 min and nada. Kids enjoyed coloring them with markers and playing with them though.

We use these eggs to dye and color with markers. They work well for both. The colors are vibrant. The markers do not rub off after application. They are the same price as if we bought real ones but these last much longer.

Do not buy!! The dye never dries, it’s been over a week and it comes straight off onto your hands! I live in a dry place too and hoped that would help, but it did not!

I bought this kit thinking it would be less messy and an easier activity for my toddler. This kit was just as messy, and the colors didn’t dry smoothly. Also couldn’t mix dyes to create other colors, which is a bummer. Would not repurchase.

Doesn’t work. Dye is faulty and eggs aren’t porous enough. Wouldn’t dry and when ran under water turned completely back white.

As others have stated the dye doesn’t stick to these easily at all and young kids can’t really do it themselves. You have to hold a plastic bag and drop dye into it and then rub it. Not little kid friendly unless you just water color them with paintbrushes or use markers like we ended up doing.

1 star is too generous. Two kids super excited to dye eggs, and this kit is awful. They provide a bag and messy dye in a little plastic packet to put in the bag and squish around with your hands. But the dye didn't stick. So we got eggs with no color at all. Those are the ones in the green tray in the photos. Sooo we got out a traditional dye kit, but these eggs float, so that didn't work. So very last minute with antsy kids, we hard boiled some eggs and did it the old fashioned way. Those would be the bright colors you see in the grey egg carton. Don't be suckered.

The dye was messy, so I wouldn't recommend using it. But the the themselves are wonderful for little kids! Mine enjoyed coloring them with markers, and now they can play with them as much as they want!

These did not homd die at all, what comes with it is streaky, and normal die just faces off no matter how long you leave it in. I wanted to love these, should be perfect for toddlers since they don't crack, but they're a dud.
Do not purchase . No wonder they arent being sold anymore .

Absolutely horrible. They do not take the dye at all. I had to throw them away and take out some real eggs for the dye to stick. Waste of money.
