Q: What is the difference between ps5 digital edition and the ps5 console besides price ?
A: The non/digital edition has a built in optical (Bluetooth-ray) drive
submitted byAdp86736 - 1 year agoA: The digital version does not have a disc slot. So you will not be able to buy physical games, only digitally through the online game store.
submitted byF - 1 year agoA: The digital edition does not allow for disc games to be inserted. You can buy a separate disk drive to add to the digital one, but you would probably be wasting money that way. I would recommend buying the regular one.
submitted byEh - 1 year agoA: My understanding is the digital edition is meant for downloaded games only (no place to insert disc) the other console allows both downloaded games and hard copies of PS4, PS5, DVD, etc.

This listing is for the Slim version with the Blue-ray disc drive. The Slim is 30% smaller and has a larger SSD for storage. Although there were some minor technical upgrades, the overall performance is about the same and they both have the same CPU and GPU. A: It plays Blu-Ray assume it’ll play regular DVDs

Q: Can i use ps4 disc games on the ps5
A: Ps5 is backwards compatible- meaning it plays most if not all ps4 games. Theres also the option to “upgrade” to the ps5 version if playing a ps4 game
