Love this permanent mulch ring
I'm using it around a red maple tree I planted last year. Looks great and I don't have to worry about digging grass and buying mulch a couple of times a year.

Great quality
It's thick and pliable I use it around a tree with about a 3 inch diameter trunk. It could be cut for a larger tree if needed. It sits down nicely in the grass.

Control ferns, weeds around young evergreens
Vermont is not a tailored landscape. We like it natural and a bit on the wild side.. But there are limits, I like my newly planted evergreens in these mountains to be fully formed from base to tip. These tree rings provide the discouragement I want to deter naturally intrusive ferns and weeds from choking out natal growth at the base of new trees.

It actually works! Plus in a very short time it looks just like amended soil. Very natural appearance. Water flows thru. so plants/ tree stay healthy. Used 4 tree/bush rings and about 11 pathway options. Probably could use more

Great solution to keeping redwood saplings from taking over
I planted a Japanese maple tree in an area where redwood trees were taken out. It's been a constant battle keeping redwood saplings from choking out this newer tree. The circular mulch pad is an awesome solution to this problem.

Another great yard helper

I would not buy this product again.
The ring comes in two halves. I expected the ring to be one-piece with a half-radius slit allowing it to be put around a tree. Instead there is a visible split between the two halves placed next to each other. Not very attractive.

Thank you. It should indeed only be split on one side of the circle, I have issued a no-charge replacement so you may receive what is intended to be received for a cleaner look around the tree.
