MicroMobile® Highland Tall 6.6 dB Gain Heavy-Duty Bull Bar Antenna System | MXAT04VP

This thing is Awesome. It didn’t take but a few minutes to install. Longest part was I ran the wire from the wrong direction on the mount and had to fix it. As soon as I got it all hooked up was able to pick up radio traffic from a town about 30 minutes from me. I was worried that due to being in North Georgia I might should have gone with the 3DB becaue of the mountains but it worked perfectly.

I got this just under a year ago when they were first released. It was sent to me as a warranty replacement for another one I got that broke in the first week i had it. This one was great for me for a solid 10 months. I used it for a single season and then it completely stopped working with no visible signs of damage. I checked all my connections and my cables for cuts and it was all good no issues. The only issue I can find with it is that the antenna now rattles like a baby toy. you can hear all kinds of parts rolling around inside the fiberglass shell. and you can feel them hitting the plastic end tube when you tip it over. So I reached out to midland support as they have always been good to me about replacing things when they break. was told that sense this is a replacement antenna from the other one that broke in the first week They would not replace it. So sadly not only does the antenna get 2 stars so does their support.

The MXAT04VP is a powerful antenna! I highly recommend it.

This antenna is heavy, fragile and looks more like a base station antenna than a mobile one. Extremely over priced. If you attach this to a Mount on your vehicle and it touches any object it will break. I thought it looked more flexible in the pictures but it’s not. The spring also does not move at all and will not add flexibility to the system. A GIANT waste of money.

I bought this kit this week, 10/1/2023. The mounting spring is so large that it does not move, no flex to this whatsoever. I would recommend the antennae but not the mounting kit.

I bought the MXAT04VP 6.6DB Heavy Duty Bull Bar Antenna from the great crew in the MidlandUSA booth at Overland Expo MTN West Friday. I installed the antenna yesterday and did a quick radio check and got a load and clear at approximately 13 miles and the reply was crystal clear. The antenna is connected to my MXT500. Definitely worth it!

Not only do I look like a legitimate overlander straight from the land of Aussie I have also way better range then I did with the Ghost Antenna! Next stop, the Moon!

This is the ultimate antenna needed for my heavy duty truck. The signal I got was crazy strong, and it looks cool too! All the people in my offroading group were really jealous of it.

I had amazing range using my 575 and the MXAT04vp antenna! I love the look too!
