The Rover is a character driven, well acted, beautifully filmed modern day masterpiece. There is plenty of action when needed but the movie is really focused on the two main characters and their journey, with what is left of Australia as the backdrop. I found the movie to be engrossing, heartbreaking and the type of movie that sticks with you long after you see it.
