If the scent is too strong on fabric, you can blot the area with a damp cloth or wash washable items. For couches, gently blot with a mild soapy water solution, rinse with a clean damp cloth, let it air dry, and then vacuum. Just be sure to check your couch’s care instructions first. We're so incredibly sorry to hear about this, Melissa. As you can imagine, this shouldn't happen. Please attempt to unscrew/rotate the purple cap counterclockwise by 180 degrees or half a rotation. After this step, tilt the bottle on its side for 2-3 seconds to check for liquid leakage. If no leakage, insert the bottle into the device. If there is leakage, move the bottle upright, screw back on 180 degrees or rotate clockwise to reclose. the insertion into the device. Use this solution to gently blot/clean the area where Febreze was applied. -Rinse with clean water the area you blotted with the step above and make sure not to saturate the fabric, as excessive moisture can damage it. -Allow to air dry and vacuum the area.
