A: so I thought this too but it turns out there's ANOTHER protective film that needs to be removed. the protective film covers the whole plastic. :)
submitted byL - 11 months agoA: I’ve made it work before if you get a big enough size to where the thickness of the tabs is compensatory. These frames are also absolute garbage. The Room Essentials products they care are made by morons. They put a sticker on the plastic and it noticeably ruins the plastic once it’s removed.

It’s very challenging to find large frames for inexpensive, so I appreciate that this option exists. The caveat is its lower quality, so you do have to be patient and use a lighter hand when handling the frame. I’m super glad I went to the review page and learned there is plastic film on both sides of the clear panel which needs to be peeled off. The instructions actually mention this, but I made the mistake of throwing the paper into the recycle bin without reading it first lol. Overall the frame looks clean and modern, which is what I want. Just remember not to rush, and handle with care when assembling artwork and frame components! (Also extra tip: save your fingers by using a business or old plastic credit card to help lift up the tiny metal tabs that hold the backing in place)

Bought this in two sizes, undid the wrapping to put prints in and had the same experience with each. If you buy this here's what in store: you'll spend an hour trying to get your print into the frame, only to have it not properly fit because the frame is bowed as it's made of the cheapest quality plastic and cannot hold form (it's a frame, I mean holding form is tablestakes.) As a bonus you'll also ruim your poster/print, the edges of the acrylic will split so it'll have an unintended crackling affect, and you'll scrape your fingerprints off on the metal tabs that allegedly hold this thing "together." Avoid this item at all costs. Huge waste of money & time and it looks oh so cheap! I would return it if I had the patience to waste even more of my time going to the store. I wish I could give this product ZERO stars across the board.

THERE ARE 2 REMOVABLE THIN SHEETS OF STICKY PLASTIC ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ACRYLIC! It looks like there aren’t but scratch the corners a little until they lift up a little and peel away.. You get what you pay for. Until I can finally convince myself to spend the money on 9 matching high quality glass frames these will do. I took the stickers off and was bummed to see the outline of said sticker was left. Acrylic was also cloudy and the posters weren’t showing up as vibrant as they are outside of frame. Went on here and look at reviews to see if others could relate and saw there are two thin sheets of plastic on both sides of the acrylic. Removed them and what a difference. Made me feel so much better and I actually think they aren’t too bad now! Directions could have done a little better job explaining this. Thinking of all of those who have brought the frame not knowing about the two thin sheets of plastic. Thanks for those who left those reviews!!

The frame snapped while I was taking the cardboard backing off. I think the frame fell maybe an inch onto the floor. I can’t even imagine what it would be like if it fell from the wall. The front covering is a cheap flimsy plastic that cracked as well.

I didn’t get a chance to put this on the wall. The acrylic basically crumbled in my hands as I lifted it out to put a poster in and it broke into a bunch of jagged pieces. Hopefully they will let me without the shattered plastic.
