"Limited Edition" - DON'T BUY
This lentil soup has been my favorite since I was a kid. Until I bought several cans labeled "limited edition" in tiny print. They really sold a defective batch as "limited edition" to screw over customers. There's huge mystery clumps in the soup and it tastes strange.

Disgusting clump inside 🤢🤮 I love lentils soup from Progresso but this was a shocker! The texture looked off when I poured it in the bowl and when I stirred it, there was this disgusting looking lump in it. Not one but two lumps. The can was not expired and the words limited edition written on it. Nothing on the can said that it contains any special lumpy stuff. I am forever grossed out.

Progresso Thought They Were Sneaky
I’m a LAZY vegetarian, so I’ve eaten this soup multiple times per week for years now. I noticed a nasty, unappealing texture difference in my most recent five cans. Coincidentally, “modified food starch” has moved up on the ingredients list, and the protein content has decreased significantly. Classic shrinkflation tactic when they don’t want you to notice a size difference—pack the product with nutritionally void filler ingredients. To be fair the flavor is still fine, but if you care about protein content and dislike greedy manufacturers, maybe this is a skip. This lazy vegetarian is finally switching to homemade lentil soup (for a fraction of the cost).
