Punch Needling Canvas Kit - Mondo Llama™: Needle Punch Craft Kit for Adults, Includes Yarn & Needle, Art & Design Theme

Watched the video, did everything it says. Stitches don’t stay, canvas is cheap.

I got my daughter this for Christmas and we did it and never worked, and we followed all the instructions.

Canvas was cheap and wouldn’t hold onto the thread. The back and forth on the flat stitching was slow and even more frustrating when half the loops pulled out with even one tiny wrong move. Would not recommend. I’m a crafty person and honestly can’t remember the last time I found something so frustrating and unenjoyable.

My first time doing punch needle and I’m happy with how mine turned out and how it’s ready to hang. I ended with extra yarn in every color so don’t worry about running out. A few stitches fell out occasionally but if you redo it and hold the loop in place then there’s no issues. The loops in the back are bigger than the front and that’s expected! I loosened and tightened after to get the look I want. I even undid and redid some stitches for the final touch. The craft is forgiving!

I wish the pattern was printed on the back as well as it was kind of difficult to follow. I wasn’t able to do the long stitches as the fabric wouldn’t hold them in, so I did the short stitches instead. Otherwise, it was a very fun project! I painted the canvas outside the stitches with black acrylic paint to make it match my decor.

DO NOT BUY THIS ! What a hot mess! Flawed concept, shoddy materials. This is actually supposed to be for adults only. i am a certified liscensed art teacher who has worked with all ages of kids, but I gave up on this realizing it was going to be a nightmare. "Canvas" is a piece of garbage that rips. Nothing to actually hold the yarn stitches in so they keep falling out. I though it could be me, but there are videos of other art teachers online who gave up and threw it out. If you really hate someone, give this as a revenge gift for Christmas, otherwise, do not buy. Also, I read that this piece of garbage is not even returnable. So they know what a piece of garbage it is.

Honestly would leave zero stars if I could. Very confusing and even after watching videos it makes absolutely no sense and doesn’t work. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Nice kit- plenty of yarn except for the black, but that could have been user error. This was my first time punch needling and so watched a few videos since the instructions weren’t particularly helpful. For the black I think it would have been easier to outline everything first. The quality of yarn could have been better, but reasonable for this price point.

The idea is cute. Packaging is great! Was really excited to try it because my mom has done it for years but the instructions in this kit absolutely suck. They are so confusing for a first timer. I wouldn’t buy this kit unless you already know what your doing.

This kit was the first one I tried. I've done a few now and I have to say the materials provided and the instructions provided made it such a pleasant experience for beginners. Better then any of the others I've tried. I wish they had more like this that weren't the little coasters because I really enjoyed it.

I think the kit is beautiful from the look of the box. I just had to have it. After making it I found it to be awkward. The long straight stitches are almost impossible to get tight because the material isn’t tight enough on the frame. I also felt like the outline stitching around those flowers didn’t give it an organic feel. I removed that outline stich. The long stitches created a very messy look IMO. I ended up removing most of the long stitches to do the little loop ones. You can see in my photo the changes I made. The yarn also doesn’t come nicely twisted like it’s shown. It comes in balls. I definitely had more than enough yarn, I don’t even know how it was possible for others to run out. I think with changes I made I like my finished piece better. I wish there was a way to actually frame the piece but the sizing of 8.5” makes it almost impossible The whole thing is 10” but I don’t want the empty border to be seen. Overall it was a decent start to punch needling.

First of all, Mondo Llama is the ____(insert fun word here). I love trying new crafts and you make it fun, affordable, and actually cute! So happy with this, even if I am terrible at it haha.

There was not enough yarn to complete this activity. My daughter is only halfway through this and now we’re heading to Michael’s to buy yarn to match. Not cool!

it's not listed anywhere but this item is NOT eligible for return. i made the mistake when i bought this as a gift, and the receiver didn't want it... stuck with this now.

This was the first time for me to try this kind of art. Was hard in the beginning but was super fun. Just watch some videos on YouTube. Will be helpful
