Q: Can these be used in the over-without the lid of course

A: I have these bowls and they do fine in both the oven and microwave (as you said, without the lid of course). However, mine say made in the US. The ones on Target.com say Made in the US or imported.

Q: The lids appear to be scented. I thought the packaging might have been tainted in the store and seeped through. They smell like "strawberry" after going through the dishwasher. Why are they scented?

The red lids smell like artificial "strawberry" scent, much like a scented trash bag. It does not wash off. Why do this to anything, let alone a food storage container where it could transfer to food?! They must be hiding something, right? Pyrex lids have gone down in quality over the years. The last blue ones I had turned sticky, as if dissolving. Before those, they warped and cracked. And, the glass is no longer the old reliable and excellent "Pyrex" either. Another formerly great product bites the dust. Product purchased in September 2024.
