Was making ribs, had to add a little water and when I did, the entire dish shattered just like others that have written reviews on here. I never took pictures because I felt it was my fault for adding some water during the cooking process which I thought was ok as the temp was only at 225. Buyer beware, it was a heck of a mess and our dinner was ruined as well.

It functions exactly as it should.. for food storage. This is not a pan, pans are metal. This is not a baking pan dish. This is a food storage container. It is meant to store food in. You can reheat food in this dish in a microwave. You should not pour heated liquid into this dish. You should not run hot water over this dish immediately out of the refrigerator. Room temperature liquid will not shatter this dish, make sure any liquid is COMPLETELY cooled before putting it in this dish. Do not add liquids to this dish after it has been heated. Research thermal shock before using this dish. I love these food storage containers. They are perfect to store leftovers in, or to use for meal prep. I have replaced all plastic food storage containers with these pyrex glass containers. They work great. Haven’t had a single one shatter.

I bought two, one shattered for no reason and the other has a very sharp edge. I was ladling warm stew into room temperature pyrex and it exploded in my hand shooting shattered glass and stew all over me, the stove and into the pot. 9 quarts of stew ruined. It was a huge mess and very costly. Quality has gone way down and they are no longer safe.

I am trying to get rid of plastic food storage so got these. The price is very affordable. I have only used it once but have not baked in this yet which I probably won’t as I have read a few reviews to not bake in these. Washed it by hand and these will slip off your hand so have to be careful of that. So far it’s a good buy.

Our dishes had defects upon opening and issues like cracking within the first few weeks of using them as normal. We do not rigorously use them, but besides that, Pyrex is known for its durability and reliability. Unfortunately, something has changed with the brand. We purchased four, three of which have defects in the glass, or cracked with no provocation. The lids fit randomly as well. We have used Pyrex for 20-plus years religiously (dishes, measuring cups) and have never, ever had any issues. They are no longer trustworthy and I suggest looking elsewhere to save yourself the trouble.

I've been using these dishes for many years and love them. But there's something I want to address: This glass container is great for food storage in the fridge. It's also dishwasher and microwave safe. However, it IS NOT OVEN SAFE. Although this is from Pyrex, the product description does not mention anything about being oven safe at any temperature. The reviews complaining of dishes exploding in the oven are user error...period. Even oven safe Pyrex is not meant for temperatures exceeding 400F and then if you pour water into the dish at said temp, you will cause thermal shock. These dishes are for microwaving and refrigerator storage ONLY.

It's supposed to do two things: allow you to cook food at high temperatures in the oven, and once cool, store said food (covered) in the fridge. It does both of these functions* exactly the way you'd think it should. *Provided you understand the concept of thermal shock enough to know that pouring relatively cool water (100F <<< 400F) on a glass dish will destroy it.
