Powerful cleaning without pre-rinsing and leaves e
Cascade Platinum ActionPacs have worked really well for me. My dishes come out truly clean and shiny without having to pre-rinse, even when there are dry food residues after cooking. The scent is fresh and light and does not stay on the dishes which is something I really appreciate. I have also noticed that the dishwasher looks cleaner after each use. The pods dissolve completely and they are very convenient because you just place one and you are done, no measuring or mess. For me the performance and results make the product absolutely worth it.

Gets the job done
These dishwasher pacs clean my dishes bery well. Depending on the dishwasher itself they can be hit or miss. I had an older dishwasher and I had to use rinse aid but now that I got a new one they work perfectly as advertised. They leave some room for user error incase you miss some spots of food. The scent is very nice and refreshing .

Love these pods!

Why do they have to melt!
I like cascade for the most part, but have found if I place the box under the sink the pods melt together. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Love the smell and how clean my dishes are after, but I also “pre-soak” for a deeper clean.

Half our 59 count of dish detergent was obviously a machine error with the amount of bad packages and this wasn’t close to all of them. Is this Cascade or a cheap dollar store knock off because these darn things are empty of everything useful

Bitter Residual tastes imparted into plastics
Imparts a bitter chemical taste into plastics. Straining spaghetti and microwaving food causes a faint cascade pod odor and highly noticeable bitter taste to transfer from plastic to food. Pasta smells like cheap perfume and tastes bitter. Reheated chicken breasts smell like perfume and the aftertaste if you dare eat it tastes bitter. Our spahetti strainer made of plastic and many plastic items (spoons, spatulas, bowls and lids) had the same bitter smell and taste imparted to food items even after rinsing. We had to throw them out. We had the same problem with Dawn detergents.. Might be the dawn in the pods wouldn't you think?

We do extensive research and testing when we design our products to make sure they clean effectively and meet the needs/preferences of our consumers, so please know that this isn't the experience we want you to have. Typically, we wouldn't expect Cascade to impart the detergent taste into food. If the soap isn't completely rinsed off, however, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors.
