Terrible experience. I purchased this glass pie dish today. I bought it because the recipe and research I had done said to use a glass pie dish specifically. When I poured hot caramel into it as per the recipe, the dish shattered explosively into a million pieces while I was standing nearby. I am extremely lucky not to be injured. I have kids and dogs and even after vacuuming and sweeping there are still glass shards all over my kitchen. I’m extremely concerned about the safety of the product and have reported it to target and Pyrex.

HOW TO REMOVE THE HARDENED GLUE UNDER THE LABEL: soak a folded paper towel with rubbing alcohol (I used 91%) and lay it on the glue. Within about 5 mins you’ll be able to pick/scrape it off. Aside from that horrible packaging flaw, the dish itself is lovely.

Do NOT buy
Could not remove the long strip of glue on the INSIDE of the pie glass. Not sure who would design something like this, so frustrating and now need to return the 3 I bought.
